I've noticed that different people prepare for different things. Some look for a total societal collapse complete with no power and no fuel. Others add epic natural disaster to this as the cause.

I am anticipating a very bad economic collapse, but not total. I think there'll still be some people working. Power and fuel will be available at least sometimes. I see crime getting bad, with looting and riots in some places. I see food shortages. There may be rationing. I figure this is by far the most likely "event" in our future.

Also, always likely is the possibility for local short to middling term disasters like flooding, quakes, power outages due to weather, etc. Anybody that has done any prepping should be in good shape for such events.

With economic collapse my expected event I'm most concerned with the ability to cultivate land. I'm hoping there will be the ability to get a little gas every now and then so I can run a tractor. Otherwise, things will get pretty tough.
