Never-mind the fact that if the football player had shot the other guy it would be blasted on the news for a month straight as each politician throws in their 2 cents and exasperate the situation to hysterical proportions, but at least the kid wouldn't have gotten suspended, in fact he probably would have gotten A's across the board for witnessing a "traumatic event". Being a hero = punishment Being submissive = reward YAY AMERICA!!! |

Eagle # 1 User ID: 35142516 United States 03/02/2013 11:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As a former teacher for 27 years, I would hold judgement on the 'suspension' of the student , BECAUSE .... 1. The student he 'assaulted' MORE than likely has friends/gang members (?) who might attack him. OBVIOUSLY HAD the gun IN SCHOOL; LAX safety there. 2. Parents might WANT this to happen, for their sons safety . 3. It WILL give some time for things to settle down, students to find New Topic,... 4. Give cops time to get all the statements from witnesses as to what happened ( How do we know the rescuer wasn't the one with the gun ? Two sides to ... ) 5. Give time for any further threats to be spoken, as young teens think they can say almost anything, make threats, etc. an d nothing will happen. Eagle |

The victim is always the guilty. party. And if your american it's always your fault. I'd throw my son a party and make a statement by putting him in another school. Suspend my kid for disarming a gunman? I would be up that principals' ASS, but you guys aren't man enough to stand up for your kids, huh? Galt |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35319565 The 2nd amendment doesn't cover murder. He didn't murder anyone Boy with the gun was a minor, most likely not his gun ;). If one believes their life is in danger, they have the right to defend. Kid had every right to wrestle the kid for the weapon (if his life was in danger). Says he didn't cooperate with the "investigation", so they suspended him. Kinda weird. |

They are just trying to protect the kid. You really dont think his safty is at risk after this? My guess is they are saying he is not coroperating to protect him from the perp's freinds and suspended him untill they can figure out how to protect him in the future. |
