REPRIMANDED For being a hero!! High school student suspended for DISARMING gunman!!
FORT MYERS, Fla. - A 16-year-old Cypress Lake High School student, who wrestled a loaded revolver away from a teen threatening to shoot, is being punished.

The student grappled the gun away from the 15-year-old suspect on the bus ride home Tuesday after witnesses say he aimed the weapon point blank at another student and threatened to shoot him.

The student, who Fox 4 has agreed not to identify because he fears for his safety, says there's "no doubt" he saved a life by disarming the gunman. And for that he was suspended for three days.

"I think he was really going to shoot him right then and there," the student said. "Not taking no pity."

...

The student says he wrestled the .22 caliber RG-14 Revolver away from the suspect, a football player, who witnesses say threatened to shoot a teammate because he had been arguing with his friend.

"No doubt," the student said, "he was going to shoot him point blank."

The teen we spoke to and authorities both confirm the Revolver was loaded. According to the arrest report the suspect, who Fox 4 is not naming because he is a minor, was "pointing the gun directly" at another student and "threatening to shoot him."

...

According to the mother, the school suspended her son because he refused to cooperate in the investigation. She says he was scared.

Fox 4 asked the Lee County School District about the suspension.

"We cannot discuss specifics involving students," said district spokesman Alberto Rodriguez in a statement. "Florida law allows the principal to suspend a student immediately pending a hearing."

...

Despite the fact the suspect pointed a load gun at another student and threatened to shoot authorities charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon "without intent" to kill.

We asked the sheriff's office about that.

"The investigation is ongoing," said Sgt. David Valez in a statement. "The charges presented to [the suspect] are based on our findings at this time."

Authorities were unable to watch the school bus surveillance video because the cameras weren't working.

The 15-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with posession of a firearm on school property and assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

It's self-defense. Once he shot the target kid, he might have turned on others.

...and people wonder why the next generation of kids are getting worse and worse... lead by example, and apparently being a hero is bad. Never-mind the fact that if the football player had shot the other guy it would be blasted on the news for a month straight as each politician throws in their 2 cents and exasperate the situation to hysterical proportions, but at least the kid wouldn't have gotten suspended, in fact he probably would have gotten A's across the board for witnessing a "traumatic event".

Of course he was reprimanded, he prevented another government psy-op. Soon there will be millions of this and tptb had better dig themselves in their little bunkers or pay the piper.

Heroes are dangerous to oppressive regimes. They give people ideas that they can fight the machine and win.

No room for heroes in Amerika, unless created by the State to serve a specific propaganda function.

As a former teacher for 27 years, I would hold judgement on the 'suspension' of the student , BECAUSE ....

1. The student he 'assaulted' MORE than likely has friends/gang members (?) who might attack him. OBVIOUSLY HAD the gun IN SCHOOL; LAX safety there.

2. Parents might WANT this to happen, for their sons safety .

3. It WILL give some time for things to settle down, students to find New Topic,...

4. Give cops time to get all the statements from witnesses as to what happened ( How do we know the rescuer wasn't the one with the gun ? Two sides to ... )

5. Give time for any further threats to be spoken, as young teens think they can say almost anything, make threats, etc. an d nothing will happen.

Yeah, well, in Europe defending. yourself. is considered. a crime . The victim is always the guilty. party. And if your american it's always your fault. I'd throw my son a party and make a statement by putting him in another school. Suspend my kid for disarming a gunman? I would be up that principals' ASS, but you guys aren't man enough to stand up for your kids, huh?wtf

Boy with the gun was a minor, most likely not his gun ;). If one believes their life is in danger, they have the right to defend. Kid had every right to wrestle the kid for the weapon (if his life was in danger). Says he didn't cooperate with the "investigation", so they suspended him. Kinda weird.

It is common practice of most school districts in the country to suspend all parties involved in any altercation, there is nothing newsworthy here...

This^^^^

There is no conspiracy here. They are just trying to protect the kid.

You really dont think his safty is at risk after this?

My guess is they are saying he is not coroperating to protect him from the perp's freinds and suspended him untill they can figure out how to protect him in the future.

kudos to the school and the authorities. behavior like this needs to be nipped in the bud before this kid starts wearing a cape, roaming the streets at night looking to dish out some vigilante justice. you're welcome.
