DOOMSDAY: UT professor says death is imminent
The Gazette-Enterprise (Texas) ^ | April 2, 2006 | Jamie Mobley
AUSTIN — A University of Texas professor says the Earth would be better off with 90 percent of the human population dead.
“Every one of you who gets to survive has to bury nine,” Though his statements are admittedly bold, he’s not without abundant advocates. But what may set this revered biologist apart from other doomsday soothsayers is this: Humanity’s collapse is a notion he embraces.
Indeed, his words deal, very literally, on a life-and-death scale, yet he smiles and jokes candidly throughout the lecture. Disseminating a message many would call morbid, Pianka’s warnings are centered upon awareness rather than fear.
“This is really an exciting time,” he said Friday amid warnings of apocalypse, destruction and disease. Only minutes earlier he declared, “Death. This is what awaits us all. Death.” Reflecting on the so-called Ancient Chinese Curse, “May you live in interesting times,” he wore, surprisingly, a smile.
So what’s at the heart of Pianka’s claim?
6.5 billion humans is too many.
In his estimation, “We’ve grown fat, apathetic and miserable,” all the while leaving the planet parched.
The solution?
A 90 percent reduction.
That’s 5.8 billion lives — lives he says are turning the planet into “fat, human biomass.” He points to an 85 percent swell in the population during the last 25 years and insists civilization is on the brink of its downfall — likely at the hand of widespread disease.
“[Disease] will control the scourge of humanity,” Pianka said. “We’re looking forward to a huge collapse.”

Anonymous Coward User ID: 63058 4/2/2006 8:03 AM | | Re: DOOMSDAY: UT professor says death is imminent | Quote | I bet that makes Ted Turner and Prince Phillip jump for joy.
But still they want to kill 90 percent of the people with chemtrails, mass plauges, depleted uranium, tainted vaccines, genetic engineering, unsafe psych drugs, scalar induced earthquakes, volcanoes and hurricanes and nuclear war all in "good clean fun".
The fact that the professor is giggling and smirking about it shows he's just as sick in the head as Ted Turner and Prince Phillip.
Since he's based at UT, Alex Jones should have a field day with this story on Monday and mock the professor with a sobbish "Thurston Howell" voice imitation on the show. Alex should try to interview this nutcase. |

-----
If he blabs too much, he might be found on the ground one day with a shotgun blast to the back of the head and the police will call it a "suicide", just like with the other microbiologists. |

This is straight out of the Clancy book Rainbow 6 whereas a rogue lefty big pharma company engineers a virus to kill off 99% of the worlds population.
Interesting.

True this time cause I simply don't agree that there are to 90 percent too many people on earth.
Would be just interesting to know how you were able to see that. I am here to challenge your indoctrinated false belief that flaming queens don't use shovels ... |

If he really believes that, then you would think he would set an example by doing himself in very publicly and challenging 90% of the earth's population to do likewise.
I'll pick staying with the 10% and just watch. |

morning omega,, the UN has publicly stated such claims as well
however, i have read studies, that the earth could support ten billion people,, but that is not going to happen

Omega User ID: 14768 4/2/2006 10:55 AM | | Re: DOOMSDAY: UT professor says death is imminent | Quote | sigh* one more thing to worry about<<<<
Well the reason why I worry about this sort of thing is TPTB have telegraphed their intention of severely reducing the worlds population. A manmade virus is just the ticket as the average sheep won't suspect it's manmade, and what better way to deal with US gunowners without a fight. Plus they control who gets the vaccine.
But what's really scary is Clancy, who IMO is a CIA asset (I've read every one of his books) has a nasty habit of his scenario's coming true, and since he's already gamed it in two books (One is Rainbow 6, can't remember the name of the other, someone please help me out here-the IRANIANS did it in the second book, LOL) this may be indicative of what's really to come. Certainly more plausable than planet X, asteroids, and aliens.
And reptilians. Better not leave them out for Dilly, LOL. Handguns are a skill; shotguns an art; rifles a science.

No I do not, except know someone with the vaccine that works, not the *B* vaccine that will be given to the sheeple.
You know. The B vaccine. The one that kills you.
