Why Do People Always Say Follow Jesus When Jesus Follows God? WHY NOT JUST FOLLOW GOD??

Jesus was not just a prophet but like you said the "Son of God", God in human form. We are the "son of man" (fallen). He is our reconciliation to God. There is no relationship with God without His Son. John 3:16.

Because Jesus and the Father are one and Jesus came to be a living example for us to follow.

Having your own free will means being able to think your own thoughts, not use written text that you have no clue to its accuracy except for some unknown promise that God wouldn't let it be written if it wasn't true...

I don't see why you need to ignore such things. Unless they displease you, then you have to look inside yourself and ask why they do. That being said you must use discernment in all things, even with the scriptures.

You miss the point.... the Source, God, clothed himself in humanity (Jesus/Yeshua) to prove he is the I AM and Savior.

By following Yeshua you ARE following the Source since he is God come down to man to teach us HOW to live our lives.

As a man Yeshua did everything by faith in the Father (God) he did not use his divine powers. So we could do the same. Jesus is the focal point God wanted to insure no one could subvert his plan of salvation by saying "why not just go to the source - oh yeah and my source is not that Jesus guy but what I FEEL God wants for me...."
