Living in a lighthouse, writing health articles & living a life of solitude.

I'd buy up all the Land that I could, and then I would just "Give" it back to the earth.... Create hunting camps for inner city kids, outdoor outreach projects, and really educate people on how to responsible use the outdoors, how to leave only footprints and take only pictures and memories....

I'd like to teach people how to farm, how to be self sufficient and live sustainably, I'd show them why they didn't need "City Water...." or how they can make their own electricity.

I'd like to open trade schools, where kids are not only taught fine arts, but skills that they are compensated for.

Where kids are taught REAL HISTORY based on Financial Transactions and central banking history. Where the truths are.

Where kids are taught philosophy, literature, grammar... In one setting, and taught Geometry, Algebra, Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture in manner that they are to develop basic skills.

If I had that much money I'd do all these things...

But that would make me a very dangerous man...

Buy a secluded mountain, live on it.
Out of this ugliness may come,
Some day, so beautiful a flower,
That men will wonder at that hour,
Remembering smoke and flowerless slum,
And ask-glimpsing the agony
Of the slaves who wrestle to be free-
'But why were all the poets dumb?'
-William Montgomerie

So many gods, so many creeds,
So many paths that wind and wind,
While just the art of being kind
Is all the sad world needs.

Ever read those articles about unusual buildings turned into homes?

Best ones I've seen were old firetowers... Seem some lighthouses too... Love those....

I would definitely want to live in an odd or unusual building.... They have character.

Re: How would you really enjoy spending your life, if money were no object?
I doubt I would do that much different although I might move. That and I would probably have more expensive this and that.

That said material possessions dont make you happy but most people try the opposite.

3 great times of my life.....

Hitch Hiking around the country for about 6 months when I was young with no money and pick up jobs along the way. Absolute freedom and something new every day.

Living on a beach just one summer with a bunch of friends. Right on the ocean and it was s fixer upper house. We paid no rent, just worked on the house. No electricity, no hot water, no air conditioner, worked at the beach renting boats and it was superb. Had whatever money I made that day.

Living on the beach again but this time out of college and self employed. Several years, worked very hard from home, making great money and surfed almost every day there was waves.

Now I am older and I think one of the great things in life is to be able to help people. Thats what really makes me happy these days, and if I hit the lotto tomorrow, I would probably give half of it away.

If I were to take the selfish approach I would probably move to an island and live in a big mansion with a bunch of french maids running around.

HGTV has a show series on that subject. Whenever I happen to catch it I find it very interesting and entertaining.

I would travel, see things I never have, and go back to places that I've enjoyed. Buy a fabulous house, with magnificent gardens. Go on unlimited shopping sprees. Last but not necessarily least, I would give deserving people money on a regular basis. It would be sort of a part-time job figuring out and investigating who would be truly deserving but it would be something that I would definitely do on a regular basis.

Subsistence living with mountains, lakes and rivers nearby.

Plus I'd have all sorts of toys. Boats, atvs, ultra light plane, snowmobiles, seadoos... That's just off the top of my head.

Living in a lighthouse, writing health articles & living a life of solitude.

That is so weird, I was thinking along similar lines about the lighthouse, but I'd like to have a medium size yacht too in order to go fishing, and live out on the water for part of the time.

I would like to have a few friends visit from time to time as well.

Probably spend a few years working on some music.
Probably spend a few years sailing.
Probably spend a few years doing some hobby electronics
Probably spend a few years making homebrew beers and growing different foods.
Maybe try some writing.

Loads of things.

returning the earth to a garden
philosophy, arts, music, and active lifestyle
interacting with people without an agenda or lack of time

basically getting a chance to have time that which
chasing a living strips away

exploring the earth
having a value in life instead of a need to survive
