To have your own free will, means to choose, whatever you want. TO think your own toughts, doesnt mean that those that come to you are your own.

But having your free will, means basically, do what you want to do.. id advice in asking God for advice, to let Him that is truth guide you. Its easy to trip over, and fall drastically in this realm.
