9 out of 10 wouldn't have the cardio to survive a zombie apocalypse. That's why most would need to just hunker down, say for example in there basements. And wait it out, or at least until there's not many walkers left. After that make a break for it at night, and or go scavaging for food at night. And then sleep during the day. Then if you decide to try and leave the city just travel by night and wear all black so you can try and sneak out. But you'd need to know where you're going though, otherwise it would be pointless.
