It came natural, in the earth, Quoting: jaidMaybe, maybe not. It may not be native. That's another story. yet you prefer man made alternatives that have the very likely potential of killing a fully grown adult male... Quoting: jaidNow you're misquoting me. I don't "prefer" anything except valid research and study before we make grandiose claims about anything. You think that Cannabis will make you lazy? It allows you to realise that stupid shit isn't worth the time therefore you don't do it, as it becomes a waste of time. Quoting: jaidI actually think that intelligent people can recognize what is stupid shit without the aid of a plant. If you need help sorting out what is stupid and what is not, that sounds like a bigger problem than what marijuana is going to handle. THC preserves your mental state over a prolonged time, decreasing the potential of being diagnosed with alzheimers and dimentia. Don't ask me for the linky or stinky, because that's pure laziness. Quoting: jaidThat is a seperate issue than "Pot cures Cancer, bra!!!!" being discussed here. It doesn't reduce cell growth or abundance within your brain as it protects your neurological endings, and holds certain cells within your brain in suspended motion whilst under the influence. Upon being released from this state, these previously suspended cells come back to life. Quoting: jaidOkay, but I'm not real clear why I would want that in the first place. I smoke weed infrequently, but I respect the plant for all of it's unique properties. Quoting: jaidI can dig it. Herbalism is cool. That's how medicine is made. Don't think "oh derp a derp, this guy is wrong" but don't say I'm right until you've actually delved far enough into the topic to gain a full understanding. Quoting: jaidI can't delve very far, since it's illegal for me to do so. I'm not going to break the law and risk bringing shame and dishonor to my family over a plant. I've got kids to raise. I think people denying the existence of a plant with so many beneficial qualities based on the programming indoctrinated through governments and schools without even knowing jack all, is a shame. Quoting: jaidWell, the problem we have here is that Hippies assume I don't know "Jack All" because I have not reached the same conclusions they have based on anecdotal, untested evidence. I would make the same argument, that Hippies know "Jack All" because they are too stoned to really look into the matter objectively. Like I Pointed out already, Pot comes from the same "The Man" that controls Big Pharma. Been using CBD extract from Dixie now for months and it knocks out my daily migraines very quickly. It works about 80% of the time and when it doesn't I fall back to my prescribed meds. The important thing is that I've reduced the intake of the prescribed meds by about 80% and feel better for it. The speed at which it works is really fast too, the prescriptions take about 15+ minutes to provide relief while the CBD extract gives relief in less than 2 minutes. The CBD extract is legal to ship in all states as it's derived from industrial hemp oil that was legally imported. The downside is that it's still expensive but I'm hoping that with hemp legal to grow in CO soon (with the passage of 64) having domestic hemp will bring down the price. Disclaimer: I'm not saying everyone would have similar results but I know it works for me and the Mrs. (She has also had similar results for menstrual pain/headaches, she experienced very fast relief too). |
Captain Spaulding User ID: 35529559 United States 03/04/2013 10:59 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So basically what you're spouting is that there is no cure for cancer. Chemo might work, then again it might not. You might go through the horrors chemo wreaks on your body and just die anyway. Yet you're venemously opposed to another method that may or may not help(studies are ongoing) on the basis that it might make you high. You also seem to assume (as do a lot of potheads) that inhaling cannabis is the be all and end all of treatment. This whole thread is skewed and stupid, and you are an infuriating troll. Quoting: ming I'd rather smell like an ashtray than smell like your shitty attitude. I'm not against trying anything to cure whatever. But if you're going to throw all your weight behind one thing and claim you have a "Cure" I need some serious research in a respected publication by people qualified to make that statement. It's really not asking that much. The whole idea of the "man" keeping a cure down because of Big Pharma is absurd. If pot cured people, Big Pharma would simply grow it and provide it at a premium. The fact that you hippies take this as being "Against" it just goes to show how much emotion you have vested in this versus actual valid intellectual opinion based on facts. Meanwhile, Chemo and Radiation, along with other Medical procedures are coming along very nicely in getting rid of cancer in patients. I'm sorry you don't like it, or that it's hard work, or that it takes it's toll on bodies. The worst part of it all is that you, as an advocate, are actually hurting your own cause by buying into 3rd party wacky advocates who actually probably work for Big Pharma to sully the waters by making you all look like whack-jobs. But you're too emotional to step out of your cloud of ineffectual arguments to see that. At the end of the day, you'd do much better spending this time and energy petitioning your elected officials and gathering money to make financial contributions to their coffers. That's how you get things done, not by whining on the internet against "the man." It cured a very close friend of STAGE FOUR throat cancer. Noting how much evidence was used to make marijuana illegal! Which is less then what others are finding about the curing properties. Double standard isn't good for anyone. We only need the same amount of facts to make it legal as it was made illegal. In other words, all the legal reasons why pot was made illegal has since been refuted. That alone is evidence of the reverse kind. As in, evidence isn't needed to prove it's helpfulness if it has been proven to not harm either. |

They don't care about the anti-cancer effects nor any of the other health benefits that a human being could gain from having access to it..... All they care about in their MONEY.... Quoting: ANHEDONIC I would never argue against anything in this portion of your statement. Well, except that Big Tobacco somehow allowed Chantix to hit the market. What happened there, did Big Tobacco fall asleep at the wheel? Or Did Rob Reiner cough up ten dollars to the right senator to get this med passed through? I'm not sure how it works, but Chantix would be one example as an honest-to-goodness Pharma product that does what it says with virtually no side-effects. Not only can I direct you to proof of this without calling you a troll or lazy, I can ALSO provide personal anecdotal evidence along with my wife's testimony. Just my opinion, but it looks like you're a prime example of a closed mind. I personally have never used marijuana, simply because I was aware that if I were caught, it would basically destroy my career. Now that I'm retired, I don't have to worry about that, but still haven't used it simply because it's too hard for an old fart to get. I guess I don't know the right kids, or it's just that they'd never offer to sell me any!! Heck you would even have access to forms of cannabis that remove the psychoactive effects of marijuana altogether if you wanted and were just pursuing pain management or the other health effects provided by the plant. Funny enough its the Sativa dominant strains that help my anxiety the most. Indicas made me feel like I'm walking all weird and cause my anxiety to skyrocket. |
