The path of tau marks the first step of a Neophyte to his work to the grade of 2=9 (Zelator grade). So, it constitutes a rebirth by pulling the individual up to what is known as the supernal triad (top three sephira) but only temporarily (3-5 days). This is too much for the ego to handle and a woman is required to be there. It's complex to explain all of this and why a woman must be there but it goes back to the story of Adam and Eve. If you've ever seen the film Pi this is actually what happens to him in the last scene, when he's holding onto a woman that appears and crying "NO!". So, this is a significant event and because of that woman he lived (You can kill yourself EASILY while going through this change). Someone on here was discussing Mid-Wives and initiation and he was actually correct. It's very similar, however this initiation was unique and corresponds to Revelation Chapter 12. The man-child being born, man-child for several reasons. First he's a grown man but being reborn on the path of tau (child). Secondly, this man-child is also Horus incarnate. Particularly the first scene when he spreads his arms like a bird and his hawk like mask (similar to horus in almost every way). Also note, his comment about "The Fire rises".
