Erin Brokovich's visit to Bayou Corne will have to bring needed publicity to the failed salt dome and sinkhole.
This is a huge plus for the residents who need resolution and need it quickly.

Any reward for suggesting Hudson's Bay as an alternative home for the residents of the GOM? Once all the drilling samples in the river deltas show that the dumping was as bad as Texaco was doing to the Amazon it will be worth $$$ but uncleanable. Intentional deception is without question.

James Bay is also available for others not on the gulf Coast itself depending where the sediments originated from before settling there.

If these sinkholes happen to be above an area of the crust that is above a zone of sub-ducting magma then the collapse is filling chunks that get broken off the lowest portion of the crust. Not long down the road dust and natural erosion should fill them in. That they are pillars of salt means the oceans had completely dried up as in the 'snowball earth' theory. Salt is not as strong as rock so any break will be along that zone. The water that came later did not completely dissolve the salt left in these deep cracks in the crust. The Haiti quake should show if it was from compression or expansion in the crust. (would the quake lose strength if it traveled through trapped oil in liquid form as it would through rock? ie being 10x more powerful than it should have been for deep sea holes along the way)

Shes a shill for the legal system, she did nothing of lasting good for anyone other than herself and the other lawyers.
The lawyers all made many millions, the real victims, not so much was left for them other than pennies and tokens.
You should take the time to learn exactly how the people who she worked with think of her.
The legal system is a money extraction machine where they get the lions share of any award.

I do hope the residents of Bayou Corne can get a timely, good and fair settlement. Now that Occidental is known to be the land owner, this brings in another large corporation.
Unfortunately, lawyers are needed to fight the battle at this level. These large corporations can stall things forever. And, they never voluntarily do the right thing. Look at British Petroleum.

Also, Governor Jindal needs to be bombarded with calls and emails as he has ignored this situation and has not even set foot in Bayou Corne.

You dont know a lot of things, since you are force fed from a media aligned with the legal system with an interest in fooling you into ignorance and trust.
One of the most prominent lies is the lawyers are there to help you, where the truth is theyre there to help themselves and create more work for themselves.
Most of you dont know that on average, the lawyers make more than their clients for a successful case.

I don't dispute what you say, as I've worked on the fringes of the legal profession.
I've also worked in advertising and I know publicity can help more than a lawyer sometimes.
What more do we have now, other than publicity.
Look at what GLP did (or contributed) regarding the recent filibuster.

All you have to know is that lawyers are called Officers of the Court and all their power and authority comes from govt and govt only.
They never attack the only source of their power, they may attack the money sent to uncle,yet never really attack uncle, and only make it look like uncle has no other choice than to destroy American culture for it's own good.
You all have gotten fooled into thinking just cause someone makes a law that you have to automatically must accept it, and if they show up and demand your property, you have no choice other than to give it up.
That already means you wont win, andn\ they will
