Peter as a name didnt exist
because Simon the weak apostle, the doubter, the denier, was going to become Peter the Rock
he tried to leave Rome because of the persecutions, and Christ made him turn back, because it was his destiny to die in Rome, to be the foundation rock of the Catholic church
