\"You're a FUCKING Coward!" - Man Lets Loose On Austin Cop Who Detains Him For Cop Watching | |
| JanJan User ID: 18450840 03/04/2013 11:38 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The thread last week about the law student confronting a cop who stopped the student for carrying a gun was excellent - the student through SC cases at the cop, and eventually the cop just walked away. Quoting: JanJan All a person has to do is some prep, like search Westlaw, for cases and rules for being stopped by a cop. The kid should have used language like 'probable cause", a "Terry search and seizure", etc... . That and others would have had those cops turning around and walking away. Just a thought... . LOOK I want to explain to everyone here... IF you spend some time on youtube. You will find this specific person who is yelling in this video at the cops, doing similar things that Law student did.. He has other videos where he is being polite and discussing.... This time was different though, they were trying to intentionally harrass him, so he was making a scene so everyone around could see it..... I promise you this guy has 100 examples on how to politefuly deal with cops. He had enough in this video though... Most because like I said.. The cop admits he illegally detains him in this video, because he cares about his safety more than your constitutional rights. Now before some swinging dick says "That cop doesn't know that man" That's bullshit.. All of THE AUSTIN POLICE DEPARTMENT know this man and who he is. They were targeting him, and harassing him. Didn't know the history of that guy. If that is the case, he should hire an atty and sue the dept. for starters... . Thanks for the background info A/C! |

Officers are no above the law, but they do enforce the law that is written. Part of those laws is that the officer is entitled to ensure his own safety as well as ensure public safety. Exactly, citizens also enjoy the SAME right to protect themselves by using a concealed weapon in self defense. The officers safety is one thing, as they are a known target already. The safety of OTHERS who are detained or questioned by police is what gives the officer the right to detain in this circumstance (sort of as not every case is black/white). Think about it fellas, if you don't ever want to see someone hurt from another potential assailant causing the officer issues, then the officer needs special rights while on duty. Besides, the ONLY people who have aggressive issues with cops are either idiots, assholes or criminals. All of which deserve like response....... That's STUPID... really stupid... 1. Quoting: Patient.Zer0 This guy was obviously courting a bad situation by looking forward to a Jerry Springer encounter with his cam. Whatever hero points he hoped to gain were lost the moment he opened his mouth and lost his cool. Note: A girlfriend, jumping in with tough talk while your being stuck in the backseat, is not going to make a cinematic moment to be cherished, bud. They were both out of line! The cop should not have stopped him, but this guy was looking to create an "incident". If you don't like what is happening, ask for a patrol supervisor to be called in. Then calmly explain the situation. Usually they have more experience and know when to back down to keep the department from getting sued. |

I had a similar experience, although I wasn't following them. The same cops pulled me over ~once a week to 'inspect my car for roadworthiness", they were just picking on me at 2am after my shift on my way home constantly. I never filmed them, I provided them engineering certificates to all the modifications done that totaled over $40K on my engine alone. They ended up still placing a yellow sticker on my car for the pits to go through all of my specifications in regards to law thoroughly. Cost me time and money. I had the yellow sticker removed the next day! By the pits. A month later they pulled me over again! By that time I was so frustrated I couldn't help myself and basically told them to stop abusing their rights and picking on me because of what car I drive meanwhile cars drive past with busted lights and oil pissing out because they are buckets of shit. Trying to bring the whole car hoon stereotypical bullshit into their defense, I told them I am a car enthusiast, I enjoy doing things to my car in my spare time, I was not doing anything illegal... Then basically told them to fuck off. THEN... They warned me if I said that again I would be placed under arrest for verbally assaulting a police officer. Not all cops are bad but fuck what a nightmare that dude was... Not sure if he got re-assigned but I'm glad he isn't around anymore... To love we must feel hate, to appreciate something we must experience loss, to feel joy we must feel pain, to remember... we must forget. - James Kot |
