If any one of you is harassed and threatened by this mob and do not react with some similar degree of anger at the crime being committed against you then you might as well lay down because you are already a doormat. I'd rather listen to his whiny but passionate screeching all day rather than suffer your maggoty tyranny-loving cowardice. |

Officers are no above the law, but they do enforce the law that is written. Part of those laws is that the officer is entitled to ensure his own safety as well as ensure public safety. I know they have a hard job but they have poured their own collective gasoline on the social distrust fire long ago. As much as I'd like to bash on the cop for being some power-tripping bully, this is retarded. The guy filming the thing was screaming at the cop, and wouldn't even have a decent human like conversation with him. The cop had his voice lowered and was simply asking the guy to calm down. And that was after pulling the guy over for following the cop. Granted there's nothing illegal about it, but if anyone was following me around I'd be concerned and want to know why. If I were a cop, especially in cholo territory, I would probably be an even higher level of concerned. This video is a fail. Do your homework loser Austin police has been targeting and hate assign the guy yelling in the vid... The only fail here is your ability to see the cops behavior is driving good people mad. Like I said, I'd love to bash the cop.... all this guy would have had to do to make this a completely different story would be to handle the cop with the same respect you'd expect in any conversation. Not saying he should back down or let the cop have his way, but he could have done it all without yelling, and probably would have still been able to get more on tape. If you ever have a conversation with someone like that, tell me you don't want to bitch smack their loud, disrespectful ass a few times. Not to mention if he has any intention of trying to wake the cop up to the corruption he's affiliated with, annoying him isn't the way to get his attention. That's like having the annoying orange as a health coach. Also, if one were to be technical about it, the cop was truly a nice guy. That loud asshat was verbally assaulting the cop continuously. I've seen a lot of bitch cops actually charge people with that, and have it stick. Don't be afraid to let go. |

Exactly, citizens also enjoy the SAME right to protect themselves by using a concealed weapon in self defense. The officers safety is one thing, as they are a known target already. The safety of OTHERS who are detained or questioned by police is what gives the officer the right to detain in this circumstance (sort of as not every case is black/white). Think about it fellas, if you don't ever want to see someone hurt from another potential assailant causing the officer issues, then the officer needs special rights while on duty.
