She does not deny that she suspended the student, only that she claims there were other reasons for it that she can't disclose. The only thing I can possibly think of other than the story about the gun being completely false (which should be easy to prove) would be that they're somehow blaming the student for "inciting" the incident? All assumption though, she apparently can't or won't prove there were other reasons for the suspension.
