It's not clear how effective gun control laws are, but the fact is that having a gun in your house is DANGEROUS.  [ link to truth-out.org] So is having a meat cleaver in the house. You can't shoot up a theater full of people -- or a classroom full of kids -- with a meat cleaver, genius.
