Talk about a crazy world! I was out back moving the lawn today when I heard the dogs going nuts in the house. I came inside to see that someone was at the door. I opened the door and a rather large tatted up, black woman started yelling...DON'T SHOOT...DON'T SHOOT!!! I'm just selling stuff door to door...Don't shoot!

WTF? The only thing I had in my hand was a pair of gardening gloves.

Then she proceeded to say she rang the doorbell, no one answered, she wasn't feeling good and decided to sit on my porch for a while. I told her it was ok to sit and I would make sure the dogs didn't go through the glass door after her.

Then my conspiracy mind kicked in and I thought, What if she is up to no good? Should I go get a gun and chase her off? But, instead I got her a bottle of water and took it back outside to her. I told her to sit as long as she liked and I would keep my dogs under control. She said, bless you..you are a God send...sat for a spell then wandered off.

I will never know if she was up to no good or not, but I did my part in helping another human today.

All that being said, I'm still wondering why she was screaming "Don't shoot" when I opened the door??? Is that the new normal for peddlers?
