Close enough. But you're sucking air out of the room.

I may be wrong but let me guess. I'm ok being wrong. You got together with the equivalent of a child. Something about daddy too.
She would pull on you like a child. Then when you pulled away and possibly frequently lost your temper, like most guys when they are swamped by a woman she then became insecure (you wanted to find ways to not be home) and you lost respect for her neediness.
She became a vaggina` dentata. A vagina with teeth.

Not all women are like this. When I was married I never demanded I be given things. Which was fine because I really got nothing for my trouble.
I stand by what I said. HELP EACH OTHER. That's what relationships are for. Someone gives a dam about you.

I was'nt really talking about me per se,just all the broken lifes that have come from the hands of cold hearted women.I never looked at a woman as a vigina with teeth, nor do i engauge in arguments, nor do i lose my temper.infact when my ex would try to start a fight for no reason I would just walk away.she hated that because she could'nt get me to argue.Im a very logical and reasonable person. If it does'nt make sense ie wasted time arguing about nothing then I just don't partake in it..

Fair enough. A lot of people really don't have much going on in their souls to waste time on..and that removes a lot of people from the prospect field.
Carl Jung said, "80% of the population has Herd instinct,
17% are Individuating (thinking for themselves, they are just born that way) yet rejected by the Herd, which forces them to turn toward those 3% who have Individuated".

In other words, most people deserve no more than the time of day don't bother with their limitations. You can't share emotionally or intellectually with such people whether they are men or women.
Jung's percentages are rough and just illustrative about how not to waste your time with a certain lowered development in most people, who find reassurance like earwigs rubbing against each other.
So maybe you could spend time with people who have a chance of respecting your needs and motives.

This isn't the 50's. Young men have realized that there is no point in busting their ass to get a high paying job just so a woman can leach off of them.

If a guy can go through life on a low paying job, play video games/do things he wants to and be happy doing it...then more power to him.

I was dating a chick a few months ago who made more $ than I did but fully expected me to pay for our dates, buy her things, etc. It blew me mind and the relationship didn't last too long. Women bring men down. It's a sad reality but it's true.

IMO it all started going downhill when living costs got so high most families need both parents to work.

Because when women began to HAVE to work outside the home, men lost their purpose and their place in life.

Think of it this way. What state would the women in this country be in if men all of a sudden started having babies? How would they feel. Would they feel the need to continue to have children? What for, if the men are now doing it?? So what is there role now? This is how confusion is born and reigns supreme! When we change the roles that God has given us to play. A play must have a director, actors must have individual roles, or you have utter chaos. Same with a ship, a military unit or any other kind of analogy you can think of that has rank and structure. So must go the home!
 Quoting: Lady Wolf

you said something that is key here.when women began to work outside the home.see women have been sold this thought that they need to be equal to a man outside the home and provide like a man.it's all bs and propaganda, notice how a man alone used to be able to provide plenty for his family while the mother stayed home to provide the love and care of the home?notice now how it takes both wife and husband working and the family hardly gets by on the pay.they cut pay back to where both man and woman HAVE to work in a family just to pay bills week to week.so through propaganda they doubled the work force.2 for 1 speicals...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35320550

Yep and their plan has been VERY successful! What's more...they didn't have to lift a finger to do this. All they had to do was just change the programming a bit, literally!

Think back to early "sit coms" I'm speaking to the 40 somethings and older crowed here.

One Day at a Time, (plot single divorced mom raising two teen girls)
Mary Tyler Moor (plot, single girls as roommates who have been screwed over by men, the struggles Mary faces by MEN as she keeps hitting the "well touted, glass ceiling" at her job.)
Maude, (plot, the first, if subtle, TV feminist)
Fast forward a bit, Married with Children (Plot, a hen pecked husband made to look stupid in every scene. A wife who uses and abuses him and kids who have no respect for him only pity, all wrapped up in "comedy.)
In comes satellite TV, and the Life Time network. Nearly every movie on that network was man hating or man bashing. Everything from "dead beat dads" to abusive boyfriends, to husband who murder their wives and kidnap their kids. Total and complete family disfunction. And don't even get me started on TV talk shows like Jerry Springer!! Who's watching these shows? Why stay at home moms of course! AND their children!

That may have been true in your case, but not mine. My mom was the one that pushed all of the kids to get part time jobs in high school and to be independent.

If women are doing so much better than men, hypothetically, then wouldn't they push their sons to do well also?

At some point, people need to stop blaming their parents, their significant others (or lack thereof), the government, etc. and take responsibility for themselves.

We can see this lack of taking responsibility from all segments of society and all walks of life. It is not a gender thing. This is part of our collective 'growing up' on a global level, I believe. We need to take responsibility for the mess that we are in globally, envision new and creative solutions, and collectively start putting them into action.

Totally agree.

Plus, speaking as a parent of two late 20s men and a retired educator, schools denigrate boys mercilessly. You get what you cynically predict, especially in an environment dominated by female teachers.

But mainly, it's the engineered feminist agenda that's halved salaries over the last 30-40 years and planted this bizarre notion in our minds that you can just dump your kids in nurseries whilst you 'have it all'.

Well, 'having it all' also means emotionally deprived and retarded youngsters who don't have the social and psychological skills to navigate through life.

Another thought - how come it's fine for some ethnic minorities to retain the traditional family structure whilst it's the whites and blacks who have been forced to adopt the feminist plan for family destruction...?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19198791

Absolutely! And this is what I think and I KNOW I will be hated for saying this but ladies...it just needs to be said!

DON'T HAVE CHILDREN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO STAY HOME WITH THEM AND RAISE THEM. PERIOD! You can't have it both ways no matter what society and the MSM tells you! Why would you even want to? Isn't the point of having children to experience motherhood in all of its glory, challenges, laughter, tears, miles stones, memories etc. etc. etc. If not, then why do it??? Serious question! If you don't want to take on the job, then don't have kids. It really is that simple.

If you have kids, you OWE them a well balanced home with well define roles so that they are not thrown into institutions. Do you really trust the government that much as to LET them raise YOUR children? Because that is what you do when you become a working mom. Maybe if we women would take back control of our homes, than the government would be FORCED to employ more men/fathers and our homes would be in harmony again with a well balanced society in the future!

I'll answer that and I know I'm going to take a lot of flack for it. But women are emotionally stronger than men. Men might be better equipped physically than women, but women are the emotional power houses. Why? because we embrace our emotions, we don't burry them. We learn from early childhood how to deal with them head on. Unlike men who are taught as boys to suppress them. Basically...when going gets tough, the men shut down. The woman find their independent spirit and keep fighting for themselves and their children.

Now with that said, I will also acknowledge the fact that men have been brow beaten to death by society. I.E. the work place, the courts, even their own homes. Many of them have been raised by single mother's and with no father or father figure to show them HOW to be a man, they're left to figure it out on their own or through super heros which is setting them up for failure, as most super heros have super natural powers. Something they do not. Or they will look to male celebrities. Now how much are they going to learn from men who seem to "have it all" and because of this, many of those celebrities have " the world owes me a living" attitude, because they had everything handed to them on a silver platter.

It boils down to this. Why have men become the second class citizens in our Western society? They CONTROL the government! THEY make the laws! What does this tell you?
 Quoting: Lady Wolf

once an auther was asked, how do you write women so well?he says,i think of a man then i take away reason and accountibility.women are def emotional but powerhouses?the problem is women all emotion to take over logic and reason.they end up seeing the world in a emotional state rather and a logical one.this causes many problems.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35320550

lol I have to agree with you here. But what happens when you put all that raw emotion and sound logic together? You have balance. It's true. And I will tell you why. A woman's emotional side will bring out the protective side of a man, he will do this by sharing his logic with her about what is so upsetting to her. She in turn won't feel so out of control about the situation and will lean on his strength. He in turn will feel appreciated and loved for that strength and show her love back. The love he shows her helps her to keep her emotions in check and put her trust in him to take care of her and be there for future emotional upsets. Do you see how that works? How that is SUPPOSED to create balance and harmony. God made us different for a reason. But many people don't want to hear that. To them I just say, well...look around you at what society has become and ask yourself..do you like what you see?? ;0)
 Quoting: Lady Wolf

I agree, but that was the case 50 years ago.thats hardly the case now.now when a man does that all he gets back is"you are just a woman hating control freak...asshole...women today don't really see logic as a good thing unless it blows smoke up their asses....NOT ALL but most.i'd say the under 30 crowd..
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35320550

You're absolutely right. And do you know why? Because they weren't RAISED with logic. They were raised by their mothers. Their father was out of the picture! Either because he donated his sperm and abandoned their mother, or she saw him as nothing more than a walking wallet. Sad but true! It all boils down to the generation gap and single parent households/broken families. Your recipe is only as good as the ingredients you put into it ;0)

I don't know about the world at large, but my husband, I can tell you his issues.
Living with him is like living with a child most of the time.
He never holds a job long and when he does make it past 6 months he starts self sabotaging it.
I tried to be a homemaker as that role fulfills me completely but he won't allow it for long.
He will bitch and complain that we need more money and when I've heard enough and go back to work he quits his job within a few weeks every time.
Whether I am working or not I am still the one who cleans, cooks, takes care of him, of anything needed done, and takes care of our pets.
He will spend all his time playing games, getting f*d up, porn, and sleeping.
He never picks up after himself or does anything I ask him to.
If he does it may be months later after asking and then it is done begrudgingly.
Sex?
Maybe once every 2-3 months if lucky.
I'm sure his hand gets more sex than I do
He has been like this since the day we met and when I was in my younger days that was fine but I grew up.
We are now in our mid 30's and nothing much has changed.
He lies to me and everyone else plus he steals from places he works and lies to me about that too.
Then he gets caught and fired and places the blame on me as to why there is no money.
I can tell you with 100% truthfulness that if the world don't end and our species continues on then the next time I marry it will be with an older man who is mature.
In fact I would urge all women who are dating these man boys to please reconsider.
Take it from me and learn from my mistakes that it will only bring you pain in the future.
Marry someone who can and will take care of themselves not some boy who is only leaving one mamma for another.

Re: Why are there so many "failure-to-Launch Young Men" .. . .? . . .select the most likely reason . ..
You forgot the most important reason: No father present. Thus, they subconsciously turn to other male role models, and that's when you get undue influence from cultural icons and other "unsavory" types.
 Quoting: John Cocktosen

REAL MEN don't need a role model. They evaluate the culture from scratch in light of their needs and wants, and then formulate a plan to get their needs and wants met. REAL MEN don't have a pack mentality, like hungry dogs. They are more like a wolf, or a lion. Stalk the prey, set the trap, and pounce. Show no mercy. That's for later when you have acquired all you wish.

SOME fathers are important, but moreso for daughters.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35581840

I disagree with this statement 100% My husband is a very good father to our children and it shows. My son, has launched and quite successfully I might add. He serves his country in the Air Force, has married a woman who knows how to AND the importance of staying home and raising the children. She is every bit the help mate that God created women to be and she's happy to do it. He has one daughter and a son on the way due in May. He is happy, successful, and always looking to better himself in his chosen field. He enjoys a very happy and healthy relationship with his father, my husband and it shows!!

(Lack of reasonable moral or religious upbringing) was in the lead when I voted. This is the number one cause. The young kids today should be brought up with manners and respect. Their should be a simple set of rules to follow.

Just by following the 10 commandments, laws of karma, and the golden rule young people could learn to develop a better world. Humanity must become more in tune with its spiritual nature. The education system needs to be completely remolded. Also there must be a new or improved economy and economic system.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35479848

So you feel that morals are not taught in the public school system? But if so why are boys more effected??coffee4
 Quoting: George B
Boys are more affected in every aspect. Starting with the majority of boys having no father/male role model at home. Schools expected to parent because mom's working due to no male at home. Couples allowed to file for divorce so easily leaving kids with no male in the home. See a pattern? It all comes down to fatherless homes. Girls follow their "do-it-all" mothers footsteps...boys grow up witnessing the women doing it all. Where does that leave them? Modern men don't know how to father, don't know how to take care of themselves, and expect the women to do it all just like they saw their mother do. Vicious cycle.

Maybe it's because they don't have a role to fulfill anymore...one day, I was sitting in a waiting room at an airport and I was people watching. I noticed alot of young men there and this thought occurred to me. Men, in the past, had a role to play. Be it the hunter, provider or protector, he was it. In our society today, it's not necessary anymore. Maybe that's why there's so many failure to launch young men? It made me sad to think that, but my opinion hasn't changed much in the 10 years since I first had the thought. We have to change that...men have an important role to play as well as women. They are essential to the balance of life.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34814317

I don't think men want that role anymore.

How about the fact that life is not only a popularity contest but it also is a police state.

Most young men have petty criminal records...

Things like shop lifting, drug charges and petty assults.

The state charges you 10,000.00 and two year "rehab" for a dui alone.

When you get hooked your done. "we just don't say it".

Drugs arent the problem. It is the charges that stem from them.

What is ironic is that I know many "meth" users that are working currently, that have no criminal backgrounds. However everyone that I do know with a criminal background is struggeling in life.

That to me says alot.

One Meth user I know is the budget manager for an entire city. "HE RUNS THE CITIES BUDGET". FML.

Other pill heads I know get jobs I applied for and am not qualified for due to my criminal background...

So in my opinoin, we charge criminals beyond their sentence and its almost impossible to have an enjoyable life when you are thrown into a drug rehabilitation program that you don't need. You are forced to pay fines you cant afford and then on top of it all you are restricted in gaining employment for jobs that will help you rehabilitate and get your life back together.

SO my opinion is that the real problem with failure to launch young men is either they cannot launch because society is holding them back, or they have no criminal record and they are just plain lazy...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23231420

I would also agree with this. Drug addiction needs to be treated for what it is. A medical problem that needs help. Not punishment. I'm talking about those who use, not those who sell.

I am sick and tired of having a feminized agenda being shoved down my throat through college. So I am taking it to the next level. I now sit down to pee, I tell my girlfriend 'hey I wanna know how hard it is to be a women and were equal right? so I can now sit down and pee. I wanna feel the pain women feel'. That is how rediculous the feminist thoughts have become.

A theory I thought was funny but could hold some truth idk how stuff is transferred through pee. But Rush Limbaugh said something along the lines of men are not men anymore because women birth control are being transferred back to our water supply so when we drink the water we are in essence getting minuscule amounts of birth control. Wow that would be crazy right?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35538674

No, that doesn't sound crazy.

They're finding tons of fish with birth defects due to birth control hormones that get into the water system. Many plastics also contain estrogens too. Basically it's making males into wusses.

Re: Why are there so many "failure-to-Launch Young Men" .. . .? . . .select the most likely reason . ..
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26692909

Why did you marry him?

I don't understand the logic of some women. A friend of mine chases a guy who treats her like crap, admits he's sleeping around. Meanwhile another guy (her former obsession) is great to her and she "lost interest"

I don't understand....
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35584027

Simple, that is how she was raised to see men. Tell me something? Does she come from a broken home? How is her relationship with her father. Does she even know him? A girl's first relationship with a man is with her father. How he treats her will speak volumes of who she will subconsciously look for in a man.

Yes . . . I agree this is an important issue . . . but why boys being more troubled??coffee4
 Quoting: George B

PERIOD! You can't have it both ways no matter what society and the MSM tells you

 Quoting: Lady Wolf

Yes, yes, a million times yes.

And women still only earn 79% of what men do. So that's equality?

Then they have to spend most of it on childcare run by managers who manage young women who are underpaid and lowly trained...WTF?

I was happy to wear thrift shop clothes and go without holidays and luxuries so I could be at home with my children whilst they needed me there. They definitely didn't fail to launch.

men through our gov aND powers that be have been demonized.they are told we are all equal,so if they are told this all the time it makes them start to believe in it.then they give up because that coupled with how the women are given the leg up in damn near everything now'because we are all equal"so men stop caring.real men have been beaten down through the courts for atleast 30 years now.

the lil boy back then grew up watching how beaten down their dad was by the system that they dare not tread where pops treaded before.the ones
that do get shown real quick just how evil women are at their core.A lion has a bigger heart than a woman...

over the last 30 years? no they have been sucking hind tit to all women and non whites.notice how everyone is included in everything except the white male?yet we are all equal.why do you think that is?it's simple, they need a
handy cap, they do this through school and propaganda.

another part to it is this, back in the 80's the foundation was stripped from the homes"the father" in his place the single mother was promoted, they turned the father into dead beat dads.they promoted a single mother that can do no wrong.so alot of lil boys grew up 1 with out the foundation,2 with a mother that was to busy leaping from man to man rather than making a family and allowing the father to do his role"teach, instill morals, work ethic"
while the mothers role is to back up what father does and also nurture.so instead since mommy could'nt fill dads shoes the gov ran school system,t.v,movies, and the thugs down the street raised them....
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35320550

I don't disagree with your observations; however, I have found young men from stable two parent families with successful traditional fathers who are NOT Launching either. . . .how does one explain that ????huffy
 Quoting: George B

Simple. A true parent would roll up the welcome mat. One reason might be that women are waiting longer to have children so that they can have their careers first. This in turn means they are much older by the time their child turns 18 and they feel like they need to rely on their child now to help take care of them? Also the economy is VERY scary and uncertain now. Many family's are finding it cost efficient to stick together under one roof and combine resources. Notice many of the failed to launchers on this thread have jobs. But CHOOSE to stay home with their parents. And again...lack of mentally and emotionally healthy stable women to choose from.

And that is EXACTLY what they hope to happen. Question is...are we going to let them? Or will we start making the necessary sacrifices of going without to take back our homes and our family's. WE still hold the power and they KNOW this!! Why do you think they're trying to weaken us?

Turn off the unhealthy and brainwashing programs. Let the ratings of the networks who play these programs sink. Tune into the few healthy shows that are still on and they WILL get the message.

Start working toward the goal of getting your bills and monthly expenses down to one income. Then do it. Women, take back the raising of your children and get them out of government run institutions. Work things out with their fathers or remarry but be VERY choosy about whom you marry. Get those father figures back into your children's lives and help get the men in this country back in the saddle again!

Work in your communities toward educating other working moms to the importance of this movement and WHY it's so important. Raise your sons and your daughters with a sense of importance for the balanced structure of the home. Let your husbands help to raise and spend quality time with your children so that they will learn what it means to be a good father.

Try to be happy in your God given and ORDAINED roles as mothers IF you decide you want children. One poster defined the most important job on this planet with such negative adjectives as "slave" and "cook." Why not turn this around and see it for what it is. A helper and mate to your hard working husband. A mother and nurturer to your children and your family. A loving maternal force in your home. Because that is what you are and what running a home is all about! If you don't see yourself having this kind of life, than don't have children! It's that simple.

How many women work outside the home because they have to? How many would rather be at home raising their children and providing a loving and stable home for their families if given the chance? Now! Take EVERY ONE of those women who WANT to be home with their children, and you've just opened up all of those jobs for the men!

Do you see how that works?? Ladies! YOU! YES YOU!! Have the power to begin turning this around. It comes down to how badly do you want it? And do you want it more than you do material comforts like spa treatments and keeping up with the latest fashions? It really IS up to YOU!!

Men, LOOK for these qualities in a wife when your ready to settle down and start a family. And in the mean time, DON'T sleep around and get someone you DON'T want to be tied to for the rest of your life pregnant! It is just as simple for you to turn this around.

Just do it people! YOU have the power to turn this beast back around and get it going in the right direction again!!

I truly believe this will be the next stage in the 'men's revolution'. Men need to help and mentor other young men/boys to become whole, healthy adults. Not to hate and distrust women. But to honour themselves first and foremost. When someone trusts themselves, then they are able to trust others.
Women have been supporting each other for the past few decades. Now men need to support other men.
