stupid women...The sexes are intended to compliment each other not war with each other. Women's strengths are men's weaknesses and vice versa.

An educated male with no job experience has absolutely no chance in this job market. He is over-qualified for unskilled labor such as fast food and he is under-qualified for skilled labor because there are many more experienced candidates in need of a job.

There used to be a starting place for this sector in semi-skilled blue collar labor, but that has dwindled due to the lack of manufacturing in the country. This sector of the population will not have their chance until the older generation starts retiring, which is another issue altogether since the retirement age keeps moving up.

Women do not feel the effects as significantly because they are treated as "minorities" in the workplace, especially in traditionally male roles.

As a young man trying to find my way in this world, it's not as easy as it sounds. I work dead end jobs with no future in sight. I've went to trade schools to get a decent job with O.K pay and alright benefits, only to be passed up on jobs for older men, with more experience. I am currently working for minimum wage, struggling to figure out what's next. I think I'm going to go to a legit college and go for medicine or a lawyer, somewhere along those lines. Most of my friends are in the same boat also. Some are just morons, others are just people waiting for their chance to prove their worth. Eventually I'll get it together, it only can't come soon enough.

You wouldn't be very welcome at many health spas . . . however, I think you have some very good points . . . the change of roles of women especially their almost mandatory entry into the workforce has had devastating effects on the family . . . however, why has this caused Young Men to throw in the towel but not women??

Women get hired into internships over men because the people doing the hiring want sex. Internships lead to jobs, and men aren't getting good quality internships, so they're not getting jobs. Why hire a dude as an intern when you can hire some 22 year old blonde with a nice rack and willing to give up some ass, or introduce you to her hot friends?

On top of all of that, women get men throwing themselves at them, willing to support and do anything for them on a daily basis. Life as a woman is a cake walk as long as you're semi attractive, and that is making it hard and harder for males.

Sorry, but that's how the modern American culture looks at life.

I think you have some good points here . . . I do think the economic situation could have disproportionately affected men over women . . .

You may have some points here . . . when there is a critical shortage of positions . . . all things being equal the more attractive person usually gets the job . . . In my day it was the other way . . . a male was hired because it was thought he was the major bread winner and needed the job first . . . I think both were wrong but that is how the world sometimes works . . . does it not . . .

Women support each other much more than men do. It keeps their morale up. Men are more vulnerable to depression because it's seen as weak for them to need support. They're more likely to retreat into alcohol, drugs and video games.

I think women feel the need to prove themselves more. It leaves men confused about their own role in life. If women are more than willing to take on everything to prove "something" to "someone"...what's the man left to do but sit back and watch?

Actually any serious business wouldn't want to hire a woman of that age since she is likely to get pregnant and they would have to train someone else and pay her maternity leave (I'm not sure of US laws, sorry).

I think it's the fact both parents have to work now and the kids get put in front of a TV or given a game system.

I found myself in your same position in the early 1970s neither my wife or I could find anything but minimum wage. . . the answer for me was I got drafted out of law school and into the military which propelled me into a career in medicine and returned to law later . . .

I don't see what is going on in the world as unusual anymore - it is simply human behavior being brought to a cyclical conclusion. The situation is always dire at the end of the cycle. No point in talking about "solutions" because the problem is inherit in the way the majority think, feel, and act.

Usually with large complex problem, there not one underlying reason for it's failure. It's multitude of problem compounding each other. So on your list, the most problematic get 20% of the reason, then the other ones, get 10%, and so forth.

(Lack of reasonable moral or religious upbringing) was in the lead when I voted. This is the number one cause. The young kids today should be brought up with manners and respect. Their should be a simple set of rules to follow.

Just by following the 10 commandments, laws of karma, and the golden rule young people could learn to develop a better world. Humanity must become more in tune with its spiritual nature. The education system needs to be completely remolded. Also there must be a new or improved economy and economic system.

I dont think its very cut and dry. There's a lot of variables, but I think a lot of it boils down too technology, youtube, horrific parenting skills (i.e divorcing, mental abuse, bad at parenting etc.). Unusually high standards in order to get a decent job that pays a decent wage. You need to be a good schmoozer in order to get into job that you don't belong in. Worthless degree's that your stuck paying your whole life. Very few "good" women that will be your friend, first and foremost. Drugged up society. Selfishness and huge egos are considered "normal" Too many fish fighting for the same bait, basically... Fuck, I could go on and on but you get the point.

Life has just become a total mind fuck and it's a lot harder to get anywhere without totally fucking over your neighbor to get ahead.. IF you don't have that type of personality to rape and pillage everything in front of you to get to "Me, Myself and My shit" status , then it justs a hard life ahead for you. Its a classic case of the good 'ol "Nice guys finish last" saying... Nice people don't have the will or desire to do all the shit you need to do to launch off and be respected by the people that don't mind lying, stealing and cheating to park a porche in their garage.
