In 2011, only 12% of respondents to the Junior Achievement Teens and Personal Finance Survey said they would probably be financially dependent on a parent or guardian until the age of 27. According to the newly released 2013 survey [PDF], that rate now stands at 25%. Meanwhile, those who are completely unsure of when or if they will ever be dependent has jumped from 1% in 2011 to 11% in 2013.

It may be because they are more tuned into the planetary alignments and they know on some level that a new way of living is just around the corner. Sort of fuck this I am waiting for that.

That's the big paradox of our times, George. It SHOULD BE POSSIBLE that EVERYONE could be essentially (at least, in the material sense of the term) HAPPY, with basic wellfare, health and food and safety and dignity and individual and comunal sense of realization and accoplishment and purpose for EVERYBODY. It could be done today, that's the real state of arts from the very present level of science & technology (and it could have been practically posible after WWII, in a Brave New World, not an Orwellian one like the sadly real, present one...

It could be FEASIBLE, but it's not. Why?...

I lost my whole post, it was long winded anyway but maybe this generation that lives in the present and doesn't plan for the future is creating a null.

If our thoughts create reality....what if a generation showed up that didn't think like we did? That wasn't creating the future paths that we have imagined in our lives but is instead just living in the present?

Generation null zone is scary for us not them...

This post is not the same as the other that I lost but it's my latest idea.

I think there are different degrees of null zoners, kinda bummed that I accidently clicked my last post into oblivion. That is an attatchment to the immediate past, are they just not attached? Generation attachment disorder?

I asked the question of whether they incarnated knowing something that we don't about this period in time. Or if they incarnated to heal the planet what would that look like? Would it be like not investing in the way things are?

Interesting concepts . . .

My son is one of them! And we are at a loss to do anything.

If you had parents who were absolutely miserable it can kill your desire to ever get married, or have a family. It's just me, or there's really something deeply nihilistic in the mind & emotions of the last, younger generations (specially the present twentiers & teenagers)...

...but, who ever didn't wonder about that concerning with the younger generations? Take a look at the 50s and 60s, for example: the "adults" were scarred then... And look at YOU now...
