Look at how Bill Gates or Steve Jobs started out. Fuck, there is a 15 year old girl who recently became a millionaire just from starting her own website that is aimed at teenaged girls.You dumb fucks think that someone was holding her down? The "Man" had his foot on her neck?? Please!

Get of your lazy ass and DO SOMETHING USEFUL if you want to get rich. You will never get rich by sitting on your ass and complaining about how much money someone else has.

Exactly! We all have the opportunity to be "rich." It all depends on how hard you want to work! I hate when people complain about the "rich."

My daughter was separated when her husband died a tragic death at the age of 40. She was then a widow at the age of 34. Apparently her husband did not keep up with his life insurance payments. When he died, there were no funds, so she knew she had to survive in order to support their son and herself.

She bought a computer and taught herself how to create websites. She was on the computer 12 hours a day....taking time to care for her son, but determined to make it on her own.

Eventually, she was making 2 million a year. And for those of you who say the "rich" don't pay taxes....she had a good tax man, but got to keep 1/2 of what she made.

Through the years, web designers were a dime a dozen, and her earnings went from 2 million to one million...then much less. She invested over those years...mainly so her son would be provided for. He will be going to college soon.

What makes me admire her even more is that she taught her son to have good work ethics. She was mom and dad. She has insisted that he make A's in school (he does), and that he go to the best college that will accept him. He's won numerous awards in math and the sciences. He's a great and kind kid...active in sports, even though she and I played "catch" with him when he was young...there was no guy to do it.

My point....every person has an opportunity to succeed. You just have to be determined...and teach your kids to do the same....to be leaders....no matter how much money you have.

Now you know how many people in this country our government works for. 3 million people are served by the 536 "elected" leaders...

The thing that you don't understand, if there is no set amount of money, why wouldn't the poor should be given more? So that everyone can have a good life.
I mean, it doesn't prevent ANYONE having even more, right?
I don't really think it's that big issue if some people are even filthy rich, if everyone has enough.

Your idea is true until you reach a certain point. Sure, I could start a business and do pretty well, as long as I work hard at it (which is the way things should be). However, once you reach a certain threshold, you will begin to bump up against the big money companies.

For instance, if I were to start a car company, I might be able to do good on a small scale. But, once I reached a certain point were I would begin to take profits from the established companies, I would begin to feel the effects of those larger companies being able to buy politicians through lobbyists on the state and federal level. They can sway these politicians to move laws and regulations in a direction that pushes my smaller company out. How long has it been since there has been a new car company introduced that wasn't backed, founded or bought out by one of the major ones? The same is true in almost every case for any industry. Unless the product/service you are selling is something that the population MUST have to the exclusion of all else, you do not stand a real chance with the big companies.

Does this mean you shouldn't start your own business? No, it doesn't. Does this mean you can not be successful? No, it doesn't. What it does mean is that another persons wealth can and does effect your ability to earn money. If you do not think Microsoft would move against you if you created an OS that was better than windows, for example, then you are sadly mistaken.

So, were does this leave us? I'm not sure. I do know that if we could get out from under the control of international bankers and get rid of some of the uncountable number of laws in the US that criminalize EVERYTHING we might be able to begin to equalize the wealth distribution in the US.
