NK wont do a thing but I dont see what else the UN can do in way of sanctions if NK does anymore testing of missile or nuke tech.

No worries here in the U.S. If I had to place a bet on North Korean Missile hitting anywhere, odds on favorite would be that it lands in their own country...

When does the resolution go into effect? When will UN start acting on the resolution? DOOM in 1-2 months, or 6-12 months?

They can hit us right now. The US would rather them hit us to rile up the sheep for an attack, then to pre-emptively hit NK... But the answer is yes, at any time they could hit us.

They can hit US forward bases in Asia. But dont worry, the Pacific is HUGE, the US will eventually withdraw a safe distance and protect its shores from all enemies, foreign and domestic....

Remove the sanctions, be friends with them and trade with them. Nuclear weapons are deterrent, not offensive weapons. In time the north and south will find a way to unify peacefully.

It would take their best rocket to get anything to the lower 48, and even then they might only hit Washington State or Oregon. There are a small handful of strategic targets there, but the likliest US targets using their technology would be Alaskan oil pipelines, Hawaii military bases Japanese US bases or Philippines. And by "likliest" I mean within the highly unlikely possibility they would hit any US territory.
