I just went to publix and the cashier gave me my change, 7 dollars of it were 1957 silver certificates! wow interesting...

Check on eBay or a coin dealer's site.

You would think so, but NO...in 1957 there were alot printed...work only about 1.57-2.50 even in mint condition.

not worth much

I got lucky sometime ago when i went to get rolls of dimes/nickels/quarters


had an entire roll of pre 1964 quarters

which were 90% silver before 65, extremely rare to find in circulation. Also a coumple silver war nickels, only produced from 42-45. These aren't as rare, i sometimes find them in my pocket change.

quarters though, it was a steal. They are worth their weight in silver
