That is more then we lost during World War II including both theaters. North Korea will never put up a fight such as the Japanese or Germans. There country is much different then it was in 1950. Air superiority is the key and they would be blasted to dust conventionally or unconventionally in hours. China will turn a blind eye if North Korea I the obvious aggressor and may be choosing to do so already. I'm sure they are tired of the economic burden that North Korea already places upon them.

There would be no draft. The cost in stability of insititing a draft to invade a country in the US would be far more damaging.

NK has a 6 million troops. If war happened, the US would just bomb it all into a crater.

NKorea has been preparing to resist an air war for 50 years. The whole country is an underground bunker.

You need troops on the ground. And a lot of them.
