military near gulf

I live a couple blocks off Galveston Bay in the Clear Lake area, just for grins had a look out there and not much is going on with the rain/cloudiness nobody out sailing or hanging out at the Marina where I rode my bike through.

Can see the port from down the street and there's no big ships, don't even see coast guard out.
No extra security to the entrances of the chemical company's I rode by either.

Looks like a normal sunday, are alot of semis coming in and out but not more than normal from the Port entrance.

Kids go spring break to get drunk and/or stoned and then get laid. Repeat as many times as possible. They have a fun and exciting time while it's happening, not so much when paying the piper. Also quite a few girls get their start in the porn industry performing for "Girls Gone Wild."

Funny you say that...cuz a couple monthes ago shortly after I even discovered this website. I was riding my bike down by the bay and around Marina. When I got out to the end of the boat slips I heard what sounded like machine gun fire and was pretty startled. So I rode back out to the main road and saw there were helicoptes and a couple power boats in the bay with the helicopter hovering and chasing the boat. I heard the machine gun fire and could see sparks and completely freaked out but wanted to see...so I went up an rode in and saw a guy out watering and ask if he heard gunfire and told him what I saw. I must of been shaking, lol and he told me not to worry they do these drills all the time and so I went back and watched the entire thing. Really interesting to watch. It lasted about an hour. It was on a weekend so I assume it was the reserves. I really thought it was doom on and was a little disappointed in myself that if it was really a situation I didn't get the hell out of there and wanted to see more. Funny how our human nature works.

I ride down by the water every day and will let you know if I see anything weird.

But with Ellington/Nasa so close and port everyday is pretty interesting around here.

if there is an evacuation there would be a need....

Hey IL and TB- Drizzle most of yesterday afternoon then some downpours last night. Over 2" and windy, cloudy 52 today. Sirens nearby a dozen times today which is strange for a Sunday.
Hope military is not involved with Spring Break LE or we're worse-off than I'd imagined.

We are lucky enough to have quite a presence here in LA to defend our refineries, oil/gas wells, and strategic reserves.

The real shock comes when you go about 20 miles south of Grand Isle and get too close to the supertanker loop.

The Loop is defended by a destroyer and it will blow you the fuck up if you happen to chase a Tuna into the area while fishing.

Have noticed some jet activity in the Clear Lake area probley from Ellington, not unusual but I have heard them several time this afternoon and early evening. Last one was about 3 minutes ago.

Well just heard another one before I could finish post. Cloudy out so I can't see anything.

so whats up texas, what do yall think is the issue for the military presensce along the gulf? are we really in a nukes path? sinkhole is bigger? or just malaria and scabie vacation?

Since it is the weekend it may just be alot of reserve training....

Change that to almost constant jet activity near Galveston Bay. Heard 3 in less that 5 minutes.

THe military may be on higher alert and running more flight missions. That wouldn't be unusual given the threat. Anything venturing into the gulf would be a sitting duck.

Seriously!? Spring Break Activity support from the US military? Are they insane to think we would believe this? Worse yet if it IS TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
