The whole point is applying it to your daily life, you dont have to change anything or lock yourself up in a dark room.

Its about being aware, whatever you are doing.

Living in the moment didn't seem to work out so well for all these teenage pregnancies or the single-mothers resulting from one night stands. I can think of about a million other situations where living for the moment can have catastrophic consequences in future life and possibly afterlife.

Living in the moment is great, but so many of human nature's greatest desires are ruined by those running around acting as if they are either spiritual or religious.

How can a normal person have a nice fucking life if all those nice things are taken claim over by those flippin' fruits?

When someone has links on bettering one's self without the word spiritual in the title, header, tags, body, or username tagline...please post it, I would be more than thrilled to read it and apply what I have read to my own life.

There is so much positive energy in here, it's contagious. I really like how you describe in your opening post the practice of living in the moment - it reminds me of how I came to practice 'mindfulness'. Mindfulness is comprised of both 'awareness' and 'acceptance' - but it is based on releasing both the past and the future from your thoughts, and just existing in the moment you are in. Thank you for this thread :-)

Nope, read the topic though lengthy. Just a generalization, situation based feelings are usually the main thing getting people in trouble and/or bad situations as with the examples, but they don't have to be limited to teens or pregnancy that's not the point. Not knocking the overall idea but majority of life requires forethought, consideration, etc. something quickly bypassed if we all just went on feeling, as humans our senses are extremely limited and often misleading.



We'd have to physically leave earth to avoid being around "dark" personalities, after-all we're even governed by them, evil is present anywhere humans are.

A normal person who doesnt pay attention let their minds wander thousands of times a day, and that is not productive. Less thoughts are thinked ''finished'', theres less consideration, less forethought and so on =)
