Al Ahly Ultras were hated by old Regime for the participation in the Revolution and organizing crowds.

Al Masry Fans in Port Said started attacking Ultras, who were for some reason seated between them. Someone let the weapons from them go thru, power went out and all exits were locked, gates shut, so nobody could escape. 74 ppl died that day, sons not coming home from a soccer match. It was clearly revenge and political...today the Officials were aquitted and instead some kids are going to hang from Port Said.

No problem. Yes, they're Masry Fans, they thought Ultras would shut up and be satisfied. But the Port Said residents are upset because it's not justice. The Officials were all aquitted. It's time they go after people who were responsible for letting in the weapons, turning off the power and closing all exits. Some had iron locks around them for f's sake so nobody could get out. It was a planned massacre. Both sides Ultras (from Cairo Club Al Ahly) and Port Said Resident (Al Masry) want real justice. Is that too much to ask for? Again, I don't condone the violence and burning of police clubs etc...but you know what? These kids just about had it and they have no other way at this point to show their frustration and anger. It was a big mistake on their part. This type of white wash isn't working anymore.

Egypt said in December it had arrested the man after he slipped into the Sinai's Taba region and took photographs of security buildings.

State media at that time identified the man as 24-year-old army officer Andrei Pshenichnikov.

Today:

Military commanders have ordered troops to be on "high alert" after receiving information about plots for terrorist attacks in Sinai, an military source told Al-Masry Al-Youm.

The unnamed source added that “the Armed Forces received information about the intention of some elements to conduct terrorist attacks in Sinai against the army and the police.”

The source explained that the alert has nothing to do with the warning issued by Israel earlier last week, adding that the Armed Forces got the information from its own intelligence.

Last week, Israel’s counterterrorism bureau issued a warning to Israelis advising them not to travel to Sinai ahead of the Passover holidays. The warning also called on Israelis vacationing in Sinai to return to Israel as soon as possible.
