get a glass bowl fill it with water and have your digital cam ready beside it on vid mode

if you hear the boom or feel something rattling

you will be ready to catch it on video..

I've heard a lot of strange booms through-out the past few years.

I'm in Southern Utah, about 2 hours from vegas.

I always get the instinct that it's an explosion of sorts from under ground, very bassy - you really got to pay attention to hear them unless it's really close.
