I must not understand anything because I found that remark somewhat threatening. If I was abused I wouldn't be this confident or self-assured. I wouldn't be this dominant; I'd be cowering in the corner like an abused woman. Thanks for your pity but you can use it on someone who needs it, like a rape victim.
