The crime is reflective of the society. Generational welfare encouraged the breakdown of the family unit, the need for the father and the result is a disproportionately high number of young males black committing crimes and getting locked up.

It is all welfare's fault. You choose to take the bribe. I knew girls in high school whose life plan was to have a baby, get on welfare and not have to work. That is a choice. Or a young man who abandons his parental duties because "welfare will take care of them". So the accepter of the bribe is just as guilty.

Re the slavery issue: Why do we NEVER hear about the white abolitionists who literally risked their lives and fought to end slavery? Never a thank you to them or the white folks who harbored slaves at great risk to themselves.

By keeping the focus on the negative they have caused this issue to come full circle.
