At least your solicitation calls have a live person on the other line.... I get these calls from an unknown number and as soon as I pick up I hear a cruise-liner horn/whistle go off and then I get an automated message from my 'Captain' telling me that I won free cruise tickets... I usually hang up before the remainder of the scam message finishes....
Quoting: ANHEDONIC I go OFF on those calls. I wait until they put a rep on board and immediately get super-agressive with him- "Mike? What's your last name, Mike? (repeat a few times), Mike I'm gonna need to talk to your supervisor because you've called a number on the do not call list, which is illegal." They usually hang up. You should take it a step further and tell them your Uncle works for the FCC
