Petrus Romanus: Detailed outline of Prophecy
Work in progress

--------------------------------------------------
Background Information on Prophecy
--------------------------------------------------

The Prophecy of the Popes (Latin: Prophetia Sancte Malachiae Archiepiscopi, de Summis Pontificibus) is a series of 112 short, cryptic phrases in Latin which purport to predict the Roman Catholic popes (along with a few antipopes), beginning with Pope Celestine II. The alleged prophecies were first published by Benedictine monk Arnold Wion in 1595. Wion attributes the prophecies to Saint Malachy, a 12th‑century Archbishop of Armagh, Ireland.

[Petrus Romanus], who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.

------------------------
Petrus
------------------------

Petrus is a Latin name derived from the Greek meaning "rock", and is the common English prefix "petro-" used to describe rock-based substances, like petros-oleum or "rock oil."

------------------------

ROCK (in the Bible)

rok ((1) cela`; (2) tsur (3) challamish, "flint"; compare Arabic khalanbus, "flint"; (4) kephim (Job 30:6;" Jer 4:29); compare Kephas, "Cephas" = Petros, "Peter" (Jn 1:42 the King James Version and the Revised Version margin); (5) petra):

1. Names:

Tsur and cela` are the words most often found, and there is no well-defined distinction between them. They are frequently coupled together in the parallelism which is characteristic of the Hebrew writers: e.g.

"Be thou to me a strong rock (tsur),
A house of defense to save me.
For thou art my rock (tsela) and my fortress"
(Ps 31:2,3).
"He clave rocks (tsur) in the wilderness,
And gave them drink abundantly as out of the depths.
He brought streams also out of the rock (sela),
And caused waters to run down like rivers"
(Ps 78:15,16).

It is plain here that the two words are used for the sake of variety, without any clear difference of meaning. Even challamish (translated "flint") is used in the same way with tsur in Ps 114:8:

"Who turned the rock (tsur) into a pool of water;
The flint (callamish) into a fountain of waters."

2. Figurative:

(1) Some of the most striking and beautiful imagery of the Bible is based upon the rocks. They are a symbol of God: "Yahweh is my rock, and my fortress" (2 Sam 22:2; Ps 18:2; 71:3); "God, the rock of my salvation" (2 Sam 22:47; compare Ps 62:2,7; 89:26); "my God the rock of my refuge" (Ps 94:22); "the rock of thy strength" (Isa 17:10); "Lead me to the rock that is higher than I" (Ps 61:2); repeatedly in the song of Moses (Dt 32:3,4,18,30,31; compare 2 Sam 22:32).

Paul applies the rock smitten in the wilderness (Ex 17:6; Nu 20:11) to Christ as the source of living water for spiritual refreshment (1 Cor 10:4).

(2) The rocks are a refuge, both figuratively and literally (Jer 48:28; Song 2:14); "The rocks are a refuge for the conies" (Ps 104:18). Many a traveler in Israel has felt the refreshment of "the shade of a great rock in a weary land" (Isa 32:2). A very different idea is expressed in Isa 8:14, "And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offense" (compare Rom 9:33; 1 Pet 2:8).

(3) The rock is a symbol of hardness (Jer 5:3; compare Isa 50:7). Therefore, the breaking of the rock exemplifies the power of God (Jer 23:29; compare 1 Ki 19:11). The rock is also a symbol of that which endures, "Oh that they .... were graven in the rock for ever!" (Job 19:23,24). A rock was an appropriate place for offering a sacrifice (Jdg 6:20; 13:19). The central feature of the Mosque of `Umar in Jerusalem is Qubbat-uc-Cakhrat, the "dome of the rock." The rock or cakhrat under the dome is thought to be the site of Solomon's altar of burnt offering, and further is thought to be the site of the threshing-floor of Araunah the Jebusite which David purchased to build an altar to Yahweh.

3. Kinds of Rock:

(1) The principal rock of Israel and Syria is limestone of which there are many varieties, differing in color, texture, hardness and degrees of impurity, some of the limestone having considerable admixtures of clay or sand. Some of the harder kinds are very dense and break with a conchoidal fracture similar to the fracture of flint. In rocks which have for ages been exposed to atmospheric agencies, erosion has produced striking and highly picturesque forms. Nodules and layers of flint are of frequent occurrence in the limestone.

(2) Limestone is the only rock of Western Israel, with the exception of some local outpourings of basaltic rock and with the further exception of a light-brown, porous, partly calcareous sandstone, which is found at intervals along the coast. This last is a superficial deposit of Quaternary or recent age, and is of aeolian origin. That is, it consists of dune sands which have solidified under the influence of atmospheric agencies. This is very exceptional, nearly all stratified rocks having originated as beds of sand or mud in the bottom of the sea.

(3) In Sinai, Edom, Moab, Lebanon and Anti-Lebanon is found the Nubian sandstone, a silicious sandstone which, at least in the North, is of middle or lower Cretaceous age. In the South, the lower strata of this formation seem to be paleozoic. Most of it is not sufficiently coherent to make good building stone, though some of its strata are very firm and are even used for millstones. In some places it is so incoherent or friable that it is easily dug with the pick, the grains falling apart and forming sand that can be used in mortar. In color the Nubian sandstone is on the whole dark reddish brown, but locally it shows great variation, from white through yellow and red to black. In places it also has tints of blue. The celebrated rock tombs and temples of Petra are carved in this stone.

(4) Extensive areas of the northern part of Eastern Israel are covered with igneous rock. In the Jaulan Southeast of Mt. Hermon, this has been for ages exposed to the atmosphere and has formed superficially a rich dark soil. Further Southeast is the Leja' (Arabic "refuge"), a wild tract covered with a deposit of lava which is geologically recent, and which, while probably earlier than man, is still but little affected by the atmosphere. It is with difficulty traversed and frequently furnishes an asylum to outlaws.

------------------------

"And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it," (Matt. 16:18).

The Roman Catholic Church Puts a great deal of emphasis on Peter and claims that Jesus said he would build his church on him.

Simon Peter holds the first place in the college of the Twelve; Jesus entrusted a unique mission to him. Through a revelation from the Father, Peter had confessed: "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Our Lord then declared to him: "You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it." Christ, the "living Stone", thus assures his Church, built on Peter, of victory over the powers of death. Because of the faith he confessed Peter will remain the unshakable rock of the Church. His mission will be to keep this faith from every lapse and to strengthen his brothers in it." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, par. 552).

"By the word "rock" the Saviour cannot have meant Himself, but only Peter, as is so much more apparent in Aramaic in which the same word (Kipha) is used for "Peter" and "rock". His statement then admits of but one explanation, namely, that He wishes to make Peter the head of the whole community of those who believed in Him as the true Messias; that through this foundation (Peter) the Kingdom of Christ would be unconquerable; that the spiritual guidance of the faithful was placed in the hands of Peter, as the special representative of Christ." As ROMAN(ians)
------------------------

Vlach (pron.: /ˈvlɑːk/ or /ˈvlæk/) is a blanket term covering several modern Latin peoples descending from the Latinised population in Central, Eastern and Southeast Europe. English variations of the name include Wallachians, Walla, Wlachs, Wallachs, Vlahs, Olahs or Ulahs. Groups that have historically been called Vlachs include modern-day Romanians or Daco-Romanians, Aromanians or Macedo-Romanians, Morlachs, Megleno-Romanians and Istro-Romanians. Since the creation of the Romanian state, the term in English has mostly been used for those living outside Romania.

The Vlach people are attributed with the J1/J2 haplogroup of which the (H)OULLET/WILLET surname is J2:

---------
Etymology
---------

About the origin of the name Roma several hypotheses have been advanced. The most important are the following:

From Rommylos (Romulus), descendant of Ascanius and legendary founder of the city;

From Rumon or Rumen, archaic name of the Tiber, which in turn has the same root as the Greek verb (rhèo) and the Latin verb ruo, which both mean "flow";

From the Etruscan word ruma, whose root is *rum- "teat", with possible reference either to the totem wolf that adopted and suckled the cognately named twins Romulus and Remus, or to the shape of the Palatine and Aventine Hills;

From the Greek word (rhòme), which means strength.

(source: [link to en.wikipedia.org]

---------
Legend of Rome
---------

The origin of the city's name is thought to be that of the reputed founder and first ruler, the legendary Romulus.[6] It is said that Romulus and his twin brother Remus, apparent sons of the God Mars who were suckled by a she-wolf after being abandoned, decided to build a city. After an argument, Romulus killed Remus and named the city Rome, after himself. After founding and naming (as the story goes) Rome, he permitted men of all classes to come to Rome as citizens, including slaves and freemen without distinction.

Rome - or - Romu-el, Rem, sons of the God Mars
---------

Mars

- The month of March is the Namesake of Mars

- The name Marc is the French/Norman form of Marcus:

Roman praenomen, or given name, which was probably derived from the name of the Roman god MARS. Famous Roman bearers of this name were Marcus Tullius Cicero (known simply as Cicero), a 1st-century BC statesman and orator, Marcus Antonius (known as Mark Antony), a 1st-century BC politician, and Marcus Aurelius, a notable 2nd-century emperor. This was also the name of a pope of the 4th century. This spelling has occasionally been used in the English-speaking world, though the traditional English form Mark has been more common.

Rem
---
Rem ( "to weep"), also Rem-Rem, Remi, or Remi the Weeper, who lives in Rem-Rem, the realm of weeping is a fish god in Egyptian mythology who fertilizes the land with his tears,[3] producing both vegetation and the reptiles. He is assumed to be the personification of Ra's tears.

The Remi were a Belgic people of north-eastern Gaul. the Remi allied themselves with the Romans. Reims (pron.: /ˈriːmz/; also spelt Rheims;]), a city in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France.

A founding myth preserved or invented by Flodoard of Reims (d. 966) makes Remus, brother of Romulus, the eponymous founder of the Remi, having escaped their fraternal rivalry instead of dying in Latium.

Cardinal Marc Ouellet
--------------------------------------------------

Surname: Houellet

Ouellet is a French surname common to Quebec; it traces back to a common ancestor, René Hoûallet, who came to New France in 17th century.

------------------

Country: Canada
Born: June 8, 1944
Age: 68

------------------

Born in a small town in rural, French-speaking Quebec, Cardinal Marc Ouellet was ordained to the priesthood in his home parish in Amos, Quebec, in May 1968. Cardinal Ouellet has said he found his vocation for the priesthood after a hockey injury took him off the ice for several months when he was young man and gave him a chance to reflect.

He has spent much of his career as a teacher in Quebec and Rome, and as a rector in seminaries. Pope John Paul II ordained Cardinal Ouellet a bishop in March 2001. He was elevated to archbishop of Quebec in November 2002.

In 2010, Pope Benedict appointed Cardinal Ouellet to head the Congregation of Bishops. The influential office vets bishop appointments, giving the Canadian cardinal a critical role in shaping the next generation of leaders who oversee local dioceses.

The decision was seen as significant at the time because it was made as the church struggled with intense scrutiny over the failure of some bishops to report alleged sexual abuse to civil authorities. The role placed Cardinal Ouellet in a position to shape how the church would require bishops and other top church officials to better monitor priests under their supervision.

Cardinal Ouellet also comes with a conservative reputation in Catholic doctrinal issues, a reputation that helped endear Pope Benedict to cardinals who elected him in 2005.

Your understanding of the holy Scriptures are FAIL (Incorrect).

Peter is only the Rock (as the physical, earthly, foundation). Yeshua(Jesus), our salvation, is the water (a spiritual foundation, through the holy spirit) within the rock (as the body, or vessel).

Our heavenly father provides his chosen people with "water from the rock".

________________________________________________

Water From the Rock

20 In the first month the whole Israelite community arrived at the Desert of Zin, and they stayed at Kadesh. There Miriam died and was buried.

2 Now there was no water for the community, and the people gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron. 3 They quarreled with Moses and said, “If only we had died when our brothers fell dead before the Lord! 4 Why did you bring the Lord’s community into this wilderness, that we and our livestock should die here? 5 Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to this terrible place? It has no grain or figs, grapevines or pomegranates. And there is no water to drink!”

6 Moses and Aaron went from the assembly to the entrance to the tent of meeting and fell facedown, and the glory of the Lord appeared to them. 7 The Lord said to Moses, 8 “Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.”

9 So Moses took the staff from the Lord’s presence, just as he commanded him. 10 He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?” 11 Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.

12 But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”

13 These were the waters of Meribah,[a] where the Israelites quarreled with the Lord and where he was proved holy among them.

----

The Bergoglio family are one of the inhabitants of the surrounding villages who settled collectively at Alessandria when founded in 1168.

Alessandria city stands near the confluence of the Tanaro and the Bormida and is the is considered to be the most remarkable monument of the Great Lombard League.

This alliance, so powerful, so memorable, and yet so ineffectual for the preservation of national liberty, which began in 1164 by the confederacy of Verona, Vicenza, Padua, and Treviso, included in 1167, besides these four cities Ferrara, Brescia, Bergamo, Cremona, Lodi, Parma, Piacenza, Modena, Bologna, Novara, Vercelli, Como Venice, and lastly Milan rising again from its ruins; all bound by solemn oath and covenant to defend their mutual rights and privileges.

The most powerful allies and willing subjects of Frederic were the citizens Pavia and the Marquis of Montferrat; and to keep these in check, the cities of the League determined to erect a new city, at once afortress of and a memorial of their liberties.

Re: Petrus Romanus: Detailed outline of Prophecy
Short History of Lombardy

The history of Lombardy begins over 2,000 years ago.

Long before the Romans inhabited Italy, the Etruscans, a prehistoric tribe of unknown origin, spread to Lombardy from their base in Tuscany. They left behind a wealth of pottery, and brought the first known texts to the area, before being overpowered by invading Celts - who were themselves eventually conquered by the Roman people around 200 BC. The history of Lombardy revolves around conflict between these differing tribes, and each people left their own indelible, individual mark on the landscape.

Lombardy's position at the base of the Alps gives it a strategic importance that was not lost on the Romans. In fact, Milan, the capital of Lombardy, was once the capital of the entire Western Roman Empire. It was in this capital that the Emperor Constantine issued the Edict of Milan, one of the first significant political proclamations in history, and certainly one of the very first to proclaim that religious tolerance was a right of all people.

As the Roman Empire began to crumble, Lombardy was a prime target for invasions from the north. The same geographic location that made it the perfect place to stage invasions into Gaul also made it vulnerable to armies coming south towards Rome. Lombardy was embattled for years, and the fall of the Roman Empire led to a period of constant war, until finally the Lombards managed to gain and hold control of the area for a few peaceful centuries. The Lombards mixed with the Roman residents of Lombardy, and the result is the rich and unique culture of Lombardy that persists to this day.

In 774, after two centuries of Lombard rule, the region fell into the hands of the famous King Charlemagne. However, as Lombardy's notable (and still present) prosperity grew throughout the years, it ended up splitting into many small feudal lands and wealthy cities, all of which were known as the Lombard League. There would not be another cohesive notion of a fully unified Lombardy within Italy until 1859, when the country finally came together as the Kingdom of Italy and united the individual provinces under one banner. Then, as now, Lombardy was the prosperous jewel in the crown.

Re: Petrus Romanus: Detailed outline of Prophecy
Lombard League ( wikipedia : [link to en.wikipedia.org] )

The Lombard League was formed to counter the Holy Roman Empire's Frederick I, who was attempting to assert Imperial influence over Italy. Frederick claimed direct Imperial control over Italy at the Diet of Roncaglia (1158). The League had the support of Pope Alexander III, who also wished to see Frederick's power in Italy decline. At the Battle of Legnano on 29 May 1176, Frederick I was defeated. The Peace of Venice, which took place in 1177, established a six-year truce from August, 1178 to 1183, when in the Peace of Constance the Italian cities agreed to remain loyal to the Empire but retained local jurisdiction over their territories.

The Lombard League was renewed several times and after 1226 regained its former prestige by countering the efforts of Frederick II to gain greater power in Italy. These efforts included the taking of Vicenza and the Battle of Cortenuova which established the reputation of the Emperor as a skillful strategist. He misjudged his strength, rejecting all Milanese peace overtures and insisting on unconditional surrender. It was a moment of grave historic importance when Frederick's hatred coloured his judgment and blocked all possibilities of a peaceful settlement. Milan and five other cities held out, and in October 1238 he had to unsuccessfully raise the siege of Brescia.

Once again receiving papal support, the Lombard League effectively countered Frederick's efforts. During the 1249 siege of Parma, the Imperial camp was assaulted and taken, and in the ensuing Battle of Parma the Imperial side was routed. Frederick lost the Imperial treasure and with it any hope of maintaining the impetus of his struggle against the rebellious communes and against the pope. The League was dissolved in 1250 once Frederick died.

Re: Petrus Romanus: Detailed outline of Prophecy
Pope Alexander III

Born c. 1100/1105 with birth name as Rolando (french origin name). In Siena, Holy Roman Empire.

The Roman origin accounts for the town's emblem: a she-wolf suckling infants Romulus and Remus. According to legend, Siena was founded by Senius, son of Remus, who was in turn the brother of Romulus, after whom Rome was named.

( [link to en.wikipedia.org] )

Pope Alexander III was born in Siena. From 14th century he is referred to as a member of the aristocratic family of Bandinelli, but this is not proven. For a long time, scholars believed[citation needed] him to be identical with the 12th-century canon lawyer and theologian Master Roland of Bologna, who composed the "Stroma" or "Summa Rolandi"—one of the earliest commentaries on the Decretum of Gratian—and the "Sententiae Rolandi", a sentence collection displaying the influence of Pierre Abélard.

In October 1150, Pope Eugene III created him cardinal deacon with the Title of Santi Cosma e Damiano. Later he became cardinal priest with the Title of St Mark. In 1153, he became papal chancellor and was the leader of the cardinals opposed to German Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa. He negotiated the Treaty of Benevento, which restored peaceful relations between Rome and the Kingdom of Sicily.

Political aspects of Alexander's papacy

Alexander III was the first pope known to have paid direct attention to missionary activities east of the Baltic Sea. He had created the Archbishopric of Uppsala in Sweden in 1164[5] probably at the suggestion of his close friend Eskil, Archbishop of Lund - exiled in Clairvaux, France, due to a conflict with the Danish king. The latter appointed a Benedictine monk Fulco as a bishop in Estonia. In 1171, Alexander became the first pope to address the situation of the Church in Finland, with Finns allegedly harassing priests and only relying on God in time of war.[6]

In March 1179, Alexander III held the Third Council of the Lateran, one of the most important mediaeval church councils, reckoned by the Roman Church as the eleventh ecumenical council. Its acts embodied several of the Pope's proposals for the betterment of the condition of the Church, among them the law requiring that no one could be elected pope without the votes of two-thirds of the cardinals. The rule was altered slightly in 1996, but was restored in 2007. This synod marked the summit of Alexander III's power.
Besides checkmating Barbarossa, Alexander humbled King Henry II of England for the murder of Thomas Becket in 1170, to whom he was unusually close. Nonetheless, he confirmed the position of Henry as Lord of Ireland in 1172.

Through the Papal bull Manifestis Probatum, issued on May 23, 1179, he also recognized the right of Afonso I to proclaim himself King of Portugal – an important step in the process of Portugal becoming a recognized independent Kingdom (Afonso had been using the title of King since 1139).

Even as a fugitive, Alexander enjoyed the favour and protection of Louis VII of France.

Nevertheless, soon after the close of the synod, the Roman Republic forced Alexander III to leave the city, which he never re-entered, and on 29 September 1179, some nobles set up the Antipope Innocent III. By the judicious use of money, however, Alexander III got him into his power, so that he was deposed in January 1180. In 1181, Alexander III excommunicated King William I of Scotland and put the kingdom under an interdict.

He died at Civita Castellana on 30 August 1181.

Re: Petrus Romanus: Detailed outline of Prophecy
There seems to be plenty of French / German interaction in Lombardy.

This would explain both why and how (burg/berg)-oglio a person with a seemingly italian name chooses to follow a french order and chooses a french name.

Taking this information into account I think we need to be looking for an "ancient-ruined fortified hill castle"(berg/burg) along the Oglio river in Lombardy.

This should give us the symbolism we need to make the connection between Pope Francis, the Jesuit order, the Roma people and Petrus Romanus.

Saint Malachy

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

Saint Malachy (Middle Irish: Máel Máedóc Ua Morgair; Modern Irish: Maelmhaedhoc Ó Morgair) (1094 – 2 November 1148) was an Irish saint and Archbishop of Armagh, to whom were attributed several miracles and an alleged vision of 112 Popes later attributed to the apocalyptic list of Prophecy of the Popes. He was the first Irish saint to be canonised by Pope Clement III in 1199.

Not sure when this one was created but is was before Pope Benedict stepped down I am sure.

And now for the point. Pope Benedict is now Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. This was predicted well in advance to get to 666. To remove or subtract 15 from the papal count.

I had not yet seen this. Thank you. And Yes; he is, I will know his name soon.

I am only one of the ones selected to do the work of our lord Iah, I can only hope others will come soon. We don't have much time left.
