Checked on the Oglio river, and it's a river on the North of Italy. The name of the river comes from the Latin Olius, which means "olives". On the other hand, Berg means mountain in German, and the North of Italy is right next to Germany. There's probably some place in Italy called "Bergoglio", which must mean "the mount next to river Oglio", or "mount-olives".

This is where it gets interesting. Because two famous things happen in the Bible on the Mount of Olives: First, it's when Jesus talked about his second coming. And it's also when the most famous scene with Peter took place, when Jesus said: "Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times".

This isn't exactly the same as being called "Peter the Roman", but it's sure intriguing...
