beeches User ID: 28167778 United States 03/13/2013 02:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Is the queen sicker than she's letting on or is it really just gastroenteritis? I've never had a stomach bug last 2 weeks, have you? Of course, I'm not 87 so it could be that she needs more time to recover. Quoting: AwakenedDude Thoughts? [link to www.telegraph.co.uk] tl;dr Her Majesty, who will be 87 next month, had been due to visit a technology park in east London on Wednesday with her son, the Duke of York, and was expected at a church service at the Guards Chapel near Buckingham Palace on Thursday. The news will increase speculation about the state of the Queen’s health, but well-placed sources insisted the monarch is suffering from nothing more than a bout of gastroenteritis, pointing out that she is carrying on with a relatively normal workload away from public view. Peace. It could be a bad stomach bug. I personally had one that immobilized me for several weeks. From either the hamburger meat or the lettuce on it. After many, many days of agony, fevers, inability to walk due to stomach pain, I got an antibiotic prescription for Cipro. BIG MISTAKE. After only a few days on Cipro, I developed the deadly C-diff. It was months of round-the-clock drugs before I could be anything anyone could reasonably call "back to normal". So whatever stomach bug I had, or C-diff, can really linger. Given her age, she may be doing well indeed to have survived but weakness may persist for a long time. Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

Or would they... Quoting: AwakenedDude Peace. I'm with you there. Anonymous Coward User ID: 36009917 Mexico 03/13/2013 03:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sometimes a tummy bug can weaken a person for some time after, and gastroenteritis is quite unpleasant to suffer from. So I guess she is very weak right now and needs to recover. She is getting on, and I think she should slow down on the public engagements and let will and kate take the reigns in her absence along with harry, as charles already has quite a few commitments already. Godspeed on her recovery. |

Yes when I was a kid, I had tummy aches and was throwing up whatever I ate for two weeks, I didn't go to the doctor for it, and it went away by itself after two weeks, one morning I just felt better. What it was that it lasted that long idk |

Having said that yes it is possible that Queen Lizzie has a lingering stomach problem, the truth is, it could be any number of things. So much is happening right now that is unsettled and unsettling. The Pope's resignation, the turnover here in the USA in the government, Queen B of the Netherlands stepping down - all not quite normal. I think you are onto something by watching what happens with her. She is incredibly wealthy and highly symbolic. Nice thread. |

She is like 87 or something, lots 'ins', lotta 'outs', I'm sure we won't know shit till she's either on deaths door, or dead.
