I guess that there's still a lot of really biblically ignorant people running around who don't know that the entire book of Revelation is full of SYMBOLISM.

Learn the symbols, and it all comes alive. The catholic church is not mentioned BY NAME, because it did not EXIST at the time. But the Papacy is described in detail, by symbolism.

America is not mentioned BY NAME either, but it sure as hell is referred to in the bible, in some KEY passages, like Revelation 13:11-17

Gee, what version of the Bible are you reading? I have an antique 1857 Bible, a newer Catholic Bible, and a Protestant Bible. They all say the same thing.

But if we read Colossians 1:16, we can read that Jesus is the Head of the church:

I never said "head". I said "Rock", which would translate to the foundation. Jesus said that Peter was the ROCK on which he would build His church. Peter WAS the first leader, the POPE. Peter was the undisputed head of the church until his martyrdom.

No Jesus Christ is the only Head the church has ever had, and the only Head it will ever have.
