Obama and the unemployment. Will it be extended in 2014?
I am starting to think there is a good chance that the Federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation will be extended in 2014.

I think it is the only way the Obama administration is going to be able to deal with the high unemployment rate. If he is keeping those that can not find a decent job he will get alot more public support for his policies. It is also easier to hide the true state of the economy if there aren't any out of work people with NO income. Those are the people that uprise. Hungry people.

Its been that way all through history and I think it is part of the nanny socialist state they are pushing. I think it just fits with the SNAPS program they are pushing. The give away/ entitlement president.

Any input?

If he does not extend the unemployment there will be so many more on SNAP or going hungry and homeless.
Some of us just got laid off and some are in there late 50's and 60's.
I don't care what employers say they do discriminate against the older people we are either over qualified or just never get a call back.
I have been looking for work for over 6 months and I have put in 100+ applications had 2 interviews and still do not have a job. Now tell me that is not discrimination. They hired a person in there 20's fresh out of high school I had 25yrs experience now that is crap. Just cause I am almost 60

If not we are going to be in an even worse economical state. I have been laid off since December and will lose the only thing I have as a means of transportation if it isn't extended. I have applied to thousands of these so called job postings every day and have only had two to three interviews which I didn't get the job. America has become a nightmare to live in.

Fvcker! Lot of good TARGETED people out of work. It's all part of the plan to create a huge underclass that will fight for low wage jobs. Boy will they be surprised in DC if they don't extend benes, fvck us all over more and trigger a tax rebellion. Talk about high chances.

This is happening everywhere. They are trying to kill off people over 50 by starving us off and demoralizing us. We are learning how to "live poor" WITH INTEGRITY at my home. Keep your chins up, folks.

Vote every last one of the corrupt politicians out! We send money everywhere out of this country but cannot help our own people? That is appalling! The money that is wasted on studies alone would keep the extended unemployment afloat. As would the billions of dollars spent helping other countries. I am sick of it!!!

This Government is terrible. I have looked for work for 9 months. Now no unemployment. Lets take there pay away from them, see how they like it. Soon to be homeless.

Re: Obama and the unemployment. Will it be extended in 2014?
I have been unemployed since April of 2013. I am 54 years old. I have signed up with every Temp Agency in my area. I have applied to hundreds of jobs and very rarely ever hear back from anyone. I am being told that I am either over qualified or under qualified. What does being over qualified have anything to do with not being given that job ? If I am able to do that job then why am I not getting hired to do it ? I am willing to do anything. I have even applied to work at Walmart and the Dollar store and I still get no reply. I really do believe that I am being discriminated because of my age. Companies are hiring all the younger people to do these jobs and 3 to 6 months later I am seeing that same job posted online again. Maybe if they hired someone older and with experience then they would keep a steady employee. I am going to lose my home, my automobile and everything that I have worked for all my life if Unemployment is not extended for 2014. I need more time and it's sad that the Government doesn't want to give that to me. Without this help I won't be able to look for a job because I won't be able to afford internet service to apply to jobs and I won't be able to get to interviews if I lose my vehicle. What the hell to you want me to do ? I am so fricken disgusted that I can't stand it.

Re: Obama and the unemployment. Will it be extended in 2014?
The French royals learned long ago to not let their people go hungry, lest you would like your head literally handed to you on a platter.

Thus, unemployment and EBT cards will continue to be handed out until such time as they would like to incite a revolution. This revolution will serve to create a "changing of the guard."

They will seem like saviors.

They will not be.

They never are.

Coup d'état should mean, "Same old, same old".
