For example, Pope Benedict's coat of arms contained olive branches, and nobody I know had a problem that this was a connection to the prophecy of "Glory of the Olives." Furthermore, Pope John Paul II was born and buried during a solar eclipse, thus seeming to fulfill the prophecy of "From the labour of the sun." Interesting note: the final "proof" or evidence of his fitting the prophecy did not occur until AFTER he was dead. In other words, only in retrospect after his papacy did the fulfillment seem to be solidified. So Pope Francis was named after Francis di Assisi di Pietro di Bernardone. Additionally his dad, Mauro Gambetti, is from Italy (Roman) and was an immigrant to Argentina. So there IS a possible link and again, a more obvious link may surface as his papacy advances in time. Also, I do not think that an overt sign such as him taking the actual name of "Pope Peter" would be consistent with the supposed fulfillments of the previous popes. The previous prophecies merely described the next pope in an ambiguous way and this is not any different now. But there is one thing I DO know for sure. Regardless of the validity or non-validity of any extra-Binlical sources, we are OBVIOUSLY close to the soon return of our Savior. The BIBLICAL and may I add infallible signs are all around us. Israel is a powder keg and is the center of the world's attention. Be encouraged my brothers and sisters. We are going home SOON! |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 36161412 03/14/2013 03:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mary Who is this person whom I have chosen and whom I have so carefully prepared? Why have I kept him in the shadows, unwilling to expose him to the light? He has been mine from the very beginning, always the chosen one, always the one who resided in the very center of my heart. He knows who he is. He knows that he has been chosen. He knows that I have prepared him. He has no doubt. He does not trust in his own strength. He knows that I will raise him up. He already knows exactly what to do, although how this will be accomplished is still hidden from him. Would I allow the great work of consecrating Russia to chance? Would I just pick someone at the last minute, who is not sure of the correct steps and who might be reluctant to go ahead when all the opposition mounts? Not at all. He has been mine from the beginning and a moment will come when I will give him to the Church. Jesus He will be the “game changer” because he will walk on the scene when all seems hopeless, when people will be crying out, “Where is God in all this darkness?” The lights will dim and then go out but only so my action will be clearly seen by all. There he will be, the pope of the third millennium. He will carry a new light, a light that he already possesses as a treasure kept in the greatest hiddenness. He will arise by the most surprising way. Again, so there will be no mistake, this pope will not be chosen by men but by the clearest and most visible signs from heaven. All will see that the Father has brought this about. Once he assumes the papal throne, my plan will begin to unfold, step by step. Little by little, the powers of darkness will be rolled back. Then, when Satan can no longer accept his defeats he will make the great mistake. Just as he erred in nailing me to the cross, so he will bring about this pope’s death,[u] a true martyrdom, that will shake heaven and earth[/b] (as did my death). At that point, the true reign of my mother as the Woman Clothed With the Sun will begin. Hers will not be an immediate victory. However, all of her children will take heart and know that the victory will be theirs as they take up the sword of the Spirit. Mary I have held back these revelations until now but they can no longer be hidden. The words must be said and duly recorded. They are my words also and I would like to speak. I have chosen this son from among many. He is the child of my choice and I have guided him since childhood. I gave him devout Catholic parents and a devout home. As a child, he walked with me, not even understanding the special graces I was placing in his heart. His parents taught him a deep love for the rosary and even opened up to him the beginnings of devotion. You can see that he was always mine. Always I led and protected him, and he always cherished a special devotion to me. He was always marked by my seal. However, all that was contained in these seeds of devotion were hidden to him. He always saw himself as one of many, and always tried to consider himself the least of all. Only as these years have gone by, has he realized who he was and what I had called him to be. Even now, he would gladly surrender these gifts to others, but I have not chosen another. He is well aware of that and knows that his ascending to the papacy in inevitable. Yet, he will make no move to promote himself and he will speak to no one about the revelations he has received. All is hidden in his heart, like treasures deeply buried. It is not for him to open these treasures or to decide the time and the circumstances. All remains in my hands. He remains in my hands and I will never let him go. When he is revealed to the world, all will see that these words are true. There is nothing more to be said at this time. Later, I will speak again as the time grows closer and those who would doubt will need yet another sign. link [link to www.locutions.org] |

"Pope Francis I is no stranger to us. In recent years he attended many inter-faith events co-organized by the WJC and our regional affiliate, the Latin American Jewish Congress," he wrote, adding he had met him in Buenos Aires in 2008. Lauder praised the new pope as "an experienced man, someone who is known for his open-mindedness...a man of dialogue, a man who is able to build bridges with other faiths". "We look forward to continuing the close relationship that has been fostered between the Catholic Church and the Jews over the past two decades." After praising the work of Popes John Paul and Benedict for Catholic-Jewish relations, Lauder said: "We are convinced that new pontiff will continue on this path, that he will speak out against all forms of anti-Semitism both within and without the Catholic Church, that he will take action against clerics who deny or belittle the Holocaust, and that he will strengthen the Vatican's relationship with Israel." This does not bode well. TPTB will fake the tribulation and rapture. Obama's visit to Jerusalem next week will be crucial. If he proclaims "world peace" between the three religions and the jews are allowed to build their third temple, then we know what's coming. Once again even if it is artificial it is still being enacted. What better way for the deceiver to behave than to perpetrate the ultimate deception? |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1555009 03/14/2013 04:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio will probably within the next fortnight explain to the world why he chose the name Pope Francis I. The Vatican last night said it was a homage to St. Francis of Assisi, the 13th century Italian founder of the Franciscan order, describing him as a 'lover of the poor'. The number 'I' makes it clear that there never has been a Pope Francis before – though there have been a number of saints to bear this name. St Francis of Assisi is a man who turned his back on power and wealth to dedicate himself to a radical life of Christian poverty, evangelisation and peace-making. St Francis was so holy that, according to Catholic belief, he received the stigmata, the five wounds of Christ, in his own body while still alive. The attraction of taking the name of a man who founded a religious order may be strong given that the new Pope is a member of an order himself. He belongs to the Jesuits, or the Society of Jesus, which for the 400 years the most popular order in the Catholic Church and its members were known for the bravery and academic excellence. During the Protestant Reformation, the Popes sent Jesuits on the English Mission to build up the Catholic Church under the noses of the Elizabethan authorities. Many of them – such as St Edmund Campion and St Robert Southwell – shed their blood on the scaffold of Tyburn and they have also died as martyrs in many other countries of the world. They grew so powerful that the heads of the Jesuits were known as the ‘black pope’ and were suppressed in the 18th century after their opposition to slavery infuriated the royal houses of France, Spain and Portugal. The choice of the name of the new pope may also be connected to one of the first Jesuits – St Francis Xavier – a close colleague of the 16th founder, St Ignatius of Loyola. St Francis was a missionary who took the Catholic faith to India and the Far East after Ignatius persuaded him to turn his back on a medical career. The missionary zeal might indicate the ambitions of Pope Francis as the Catholic Church is confronted with the crisis of the loss of faith and is once again redoubling its efforts to win souls for Christ – but this time in the secular West. This would be another parody (like falsely accusing and stripping Lance Armstong) to the script of "black Obama, the suicide Obomber", who will now be accused of all sort of crimes and "hanged", after stripped of all titles, to let Hillary Clinton play Terminator and successor of GW Bush. - Tarcisio Bertone, deliberately designed to fit the role to the last detail, accordingly to the illuminati religion's goal of endless deception. Bertone is a TOTALLY fake identity from birthplace (ROMANO Canavese) to his name: it sets a new record for fake identities: not two and half (like Dr Ron Paul), not three (like Willard Mitt Romney), not three and a half (like Barack Hussein Obama II) but FOUR fake names (2). Surprise: role NOT assigned by name At the end of the day the role was to be fulfilled neither by the "name" of the "cardinal" nor by the name as "pope". Bergoglio, as first Jesuit ever to become "Pope" can still play the "Black Pope" role. To mimic the "obama" impeachment the stage was also already set: "Frances I"'s crimes include "was an Accessory To Murder And False Imprisonment" (3) working for the military Junta in Argentina, in 1976. But what about the "St Malachy Prophecy"? Accordingly to the illuminati religion's goal of endless deception the illuminati did not wait long to openly tell to the human cattle WHY is Frances I playing "Last Pope Peter the Roman"- In fact they did it through Jorge Mario Bergoglio's mouth during his very first address as "pope". Accordingly to the illuminati religion's goal of "hidden in plain sight", Francis I openly tells that - "I am the Last Pope" in his LAST words of the FIRST SENTENCE as Pope: FINE DEL MONDO means END OF THE WORLD (4). - "I am Peter the Roman" shortly after, again in two words. At this point it should be clear what those words are. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31263808 Saint Francis is the namesake. His first name alone was chosen. As the pope did not select two names, he is only Francis. Also, Assisi is not Rome. You're making up too much. It doesn't work. But the Jesuit thing is a closer match. It is a way of having the euphemism of "black pope" actually apply. If anyone is truly paying attention to the facts: Our newest Pope from Italian heritage, former Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, chosen just yesterday March 13th, 2013 at 8:22pm Rome Italy chose his new name after St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis' birthname was Francesco di Pietro di Bernardone translated into English means literally Peter of Rome. Prior to his becoming Pope, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, was known as a "man of the people" he daily rode the bus with the "common" every day working person and refused to live in the Cardinals'Mansion and even cooked his own meals. St. Francis birth-name was indeed Francesco di Pietro di Bernardone which translated into English means literally Peter of Rome. If one is to research the book The Prophecy of Malachi there would be a complete understanding that the fulfillment of the final prophecy of the final Pope has indeed occurred. If one does not yet have a personal relationship with the living God, Jesus Christ The Only Son of God who suffered died and rose again in fulfillment of scripture, then one should meet him and know Him today. Just ask God to reveal Himself to you. He will. MKO for www.pushbacknow.com |

Two were popes: Calixtus III (Alonso Borgia) and Alexander VI (Rodrigo Borgia). Another, Cesare Borgia, was, for a time, a cardinal, elevated to that position by his acknowledged father, Alexander VI, and later, after leaving holy orders, a murderous and ruthless duke. The fourth member has become a metaphor for feminine evil: Lucrezia Borgia, sister of Cesare. He cleaned up the curia, excommunicated heretical bishops, cleaned up the immorality in the church and swept the church clean–paving the way for the great surge in the church we call the Counter Reformation. He also excommunicated the tyrant Elizabeth I of England and formed the Holy League–a confederation of Catholic armies which eventually defeated the Ottoman Empire at the Battle of Lepanto. |

I agree with the poster who thought the OP was stretching the facts. It doesn't matter if Francis of Assisi had a "Peter" in his name because Pope Francis didn't choose that part of the name. Also, it's not absolutely certain that Francis of Assisi is his namesake. It could be the Jesuit Francis, though the new pope does seem to have Francis of Assisi's philosophy. I hope he does, because it's a very good one. |
