Petrus didn't mean the name Peter but "rock" or "stone". Peter took the name because the church was to be built on a rock. Roman at the time meant the whole region.
Berg means rock and Oglio of a region in Italy (roman).
Italian rock = Bergoglio. The last pope Petrus Romanus
