Beautiful and sweet
Innocence would leave
A smile that would save
the darkest cloud from a grave
Yet she still forgave

So lonely and lost
Privacy and bitterness
Was the cost.
And death was a companion
Unwanted yet there
bright and glamorous
A glare

Too lovely for this world
Diana such a beautiful girl

Death carried her away
As she lay so still
So still her body lay
It always will

Beauty gone forever
Two sons lost
Divorce from royalty
Life was the cost
