2013-03-15 18:14 UTC G2 (Moderate) Geomagnetic Storm Expected
An Earth-directed coronal mass ejection (CME) was observed in conjunction with an R1 (Minor) solar flare radio blackout in the early hours of March 15th. This CME is expected to arrive late on March 16th, with G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storming forecast for the 16th and G2 (Moderate) storming forecast for the 17th. Stay tuned for updates

I went to bed at 2AM last night, I'm glad I woke up today.

You're absolutely right. There is a good sized CME on its way. But, this has happened before. Last year we had MANY Earth directed CMEs this size. And, nobody noticed any effect other than some nice northern lights.

Don't worry this was not a small CME. Coming in very fast which I predicted last night.

It is threads like this that will prevent people from believing when a true kill shot (G5, K9) is on it's way

Everyone posting here know very well that nothing will happen but this is doom addiction.

You might get some Aurora's...I've seen forecasts anywhere from Kp6 to Kp8

I have to have a kp10 to see anything...but if I see Aurora's in Texas, it's a pretty damn big CME...

It was huge & significant. If this comes in at 800kps, we have a show for sure!!! Even if it is only pretty lights but wait til it comes in. :-)
