NOAA Predicted:
Initial Speeds Predicted over 925km/s starting at 8pm UTC
NOAA's Prediction was too high:
Actual Measured Speeds got to the high 700km/s. The CME arrived 8 hrs late.
I say NOAA's Speed Prediction was over 150km/s too high
NOAA's predicted plasma density of 25 was also too high.
So yesterday's extreme "red alert" warnings based on NOAA's predictions were too high.
Note the jump to Kp6 this morning. Imagine if NOAA's predictions were good? Imagine if their predictions were low and we got hit with 1000km/s?! Keep up the good work everyone and Thank You! Data below.
