Anonymous Coward User ID: 18434106 United States 03/15/2013 10:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Something is for sure going on with those cruise ships.. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18434106 Second Carnival ship in a day having trouble [link to www.usatoday.com] Carnival says the 2,124-passenger Carnival Legend today is having a problem with one of its Azipod propulsion units that is affecting the vessel's sailing speed. The incident comes just a day after technical problems grounded the 3,646-passenger Carnival Dream in Philipsburg, St. Maarten and a little more than a month after an engine room fire left the 2,758-passenger Carnival Triumph dead in the water in the Gulf of Mexico. Both ships are now out of service for repair from the same link A third Carnival ship, the Carnival Elation, also experienced a problem this week with the steering function of one of its two Azipod propulsion units, Carnival's Jennifer De La Cruz tells USA TODAY. She called the problem minor, noting the vessel is designed to steer with only one Azipod in operation. The current cruise of the vessel has been unaffected by the problem. |

I find it very ODD that now 2 cruise ships FROM THE SAME COMPANY (what are the odds?) have had these problems. When for years you hear about not one bad cruise ship. There is always the chance it IS freak coincidence, but since everything is so manufactured and pre-arranged these days, I'm always skeptical. |

Let them eat beans and rice. LoL Last Edited by Fly n Fox on 03/15/2013 07:56 PM We sell FUN ! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26892369 No doubt the strange slow arrival to port will bring with it something from above. It did last time... While planet Earth was waiting for the close brush from the asteroid, one ship was being led back to a port, creeping, all eyes were on the ship, day after day....and absolutely no news to speak of about the asteroid. Well, it missed us. Didn't it? Not really. Russia was hit but of course, they said this was an isolated one no one knew of. Well this is a fortean world full of paranormal events. So I say, keep your eyes to the sky. Something is probably approaching. Last Edited by natasha77 on 03/15/2013 08:29 PM SPEAK UP. SILENCE IS DEADLY! Anonymous Coward User ID: 18434106 United States 03/15/2013 10:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Carnival lowers financial outlook after Triumph, ‘Fun Ship’ ship issues The world’s largest cruise line continued to make waves Friday as more of its “Fun Ships” reported technical problems that drew widespread attention. For those keeping track — and at this point, plenty of people are — the tally of troubled Carnival Cruise Lines ships has reached four in just a few weeks. On Friday, the juggling act for the Miami-based cruise line included flying thousands of passengers home from the moored Carnival Dream in St. Maarten while monitoring the progress of the Legend, crawling back to port in Tampa with propulsion problems. Carnival also said that its New Orleans-based Elation had experienced a “minor issue” with one of two steering mechanisms on March 9. [link to www.miamiherald.com] |
