Sandy Hook: journalist Bill Leukhardt is Lauren Rousseaus's stepfather, at scene but not reporting!

I can't speak for Leukhardt, but I wouldn't be so crass as to tweet anything newsy about my family member's demise, either. Maybe an "our hearts are breaking," or "thank you for your prayers," but I don't know if social media would really be on my mind while dealing sith the actual situation.

The lack of social networking is interesting, but a lot of us are missing the giant red flag right in front of us:

His picture is on the tag he is wearing... Press pass. If I hear that there's a shooting at the school my (step)daughter's in, I would NOT show up as press, I would show up as a concerned parent, stepparent or not. Does he appear concerned for a relative? He almost appears to be smirking..

maybe she was in contact with her mother, but hate her step-father.

what i find totally strange is the passivity.

they are journalist, they are in the middle of "worldwide event" and police told them to go wait for press conf on a parkig lot and they go. and wait.

Being as he's committed to her mother I'd fin it unlikely he doesn't know she works there.

As soon as Lauren's mother knew something was going on she would've told him, her partner. He probably knew early anyways considering he is press. Also they're only the next town over and I'm sure they both knew fairly quickly...
Keep in mind he would be in close contact with his wife, Lauren 's other while there... keeping her updated.
Yet somehow they didn't find out til the next morning, by his own "account"

Um to be fair, if I were in his place, I would not be in "journalist mode" at all. Not only that but it would be TACKY AS HELL. Threads like this make GLP look like a bunch of sit-in bored assholes who have no understanding of basic social etiquette. ...or am I missing something?

Leukhardt is a longyear journalist on the job with his ID-Press-Card, the day before he made 10 tweets as nearly every day, but this day only 4 with no mentioning of the shooting!!!???

He's not there doing a job. He's there trying to find out if his Lauren has been hurt or killed in a shooting.

What would be strange is if he were taking pictures.

As you know, Rousseau was substitute teachers.. and it look people were not sure were she was. if she was in this missing classroom.
