have you looked into the Lutz family for any ties to some govt stuff? and what specific mind control/ dimensional stuff were they pulling there? the immediate book to movie deal is suspect too. it seems it was waiting for him. so I think the book and movies were part of some conditioning thing too, for the public. especially since most of the town and local govt wanted no part in this and it gone. so some govt agency bigger then them moved this thing ahead.

it could be as simple as a cover up for the montauk project/mkultra activity, or a typical cash cow for an illuminati/luciferian handler.

the thing that i can't wrap my head around is why George Lutz portrays himself as a victim of the "devil" when he himself was conjuring the devil.

I think the other connection I found with this hamlet is in the sister city connection. I saw where this hamlet of Amityville is sister cities with Le Bourget, France. The reason why I think there might be a dark connection is I found some odd things between two other cities.

Montgomery, Al and Pietrasanta, It are sister cities. Montgomery is on the latitiude of 32.2. That is the skull and bones number and also the dedication of the Georgia Guidestones 22 Mar 1980 have dark tie ins. I get the impression of the sister city ceremony with walking through the eroding frame that a ritual to seal Heaven's gates could have taken place in Pietrasanta. Name sounds like satanpeter doesn't it? Also, there is a statue in the square of Eve taking flight from Adam with demon wings. That can be verified by binging "pietrasanta pics".
