If you need a gun to keep your God, then you are worshipping a false god. They can take everything from me and it would have no effect on my relationship with God. The people in the video are using God as an excuse to go full guntard. I abhor violence. What would Dr. King have to say to these people?

Slaves do not have the "right to defend themselves". Natural Law--YOU and any creature--has the right to self preservation. I also abhor violence. And I would put myself between an attacker and my children. Preferably with something that could properly defend an assault.
