If we're talking strictly about the pres election, my state is deceptive. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 754536 Regarding Obungle, it's 100% red, with every county in the state going anti-oblamo. Voter registration would show blue, though with a much higher number of Dems than Repubs. Doesn't look to me like what you're basing an opinion on is very stable. What state? The only one in the union that went 100% by county. Ok. |

I just think the blue states do a better job of empowering people. |

Notice how all the stuff the conservatives despise is actually stuff that would help the common person. WAKE UP RED STATES! YOU ARE BEING ENSLAVED AND ARE LOVING IT! So you prefer government in place of business? What is your solution? An of course states don't print money. Blue states like CA, NY, etc. just borrow the money to Fed prints and loans to the U.S. gov. At close to 1 trillion in debt how long do you think CA can continue to kick the can down the road? Blue states companies have accounted for 83% of all layoffs over the past 4 years. Why isn't Keynesian economics working in blue states? Why are blue stated the most eager to empower the federal gov. at the expense of state powers and peoples rights? In your original statement you give weight as being a factor of success. Is that really a measure of fiscal correctness? Where did you those weight figures? Got a link broken down by state/race/income level? |

How can you compare States with billions of red ink to States with balanced budgets or near balanced? Isn't the standard of living bound to be better in a place that essentially subsidizes everything? I'd like to mention that these long standing economic power houses that the dems have been running (Cali, Detroit, Chicago) aren't in very good shape fiscally. How can this continue? Isn't it just like the couple that finances their lifestyle with credit cards? Won't it go bust? Doesn't having very liberal welfare programs just attract more welfare cases? Isn't that bad for the already bad fiscal situation? These liberal strongholds have a positive feedback loop going that is not good. On the other hand the red States have been left in the dust. Low education, low median income (somewhat offset by low cost of living), etc. However, these States are much healthier fiscally and have nowhere to go but up. Isn't this just like the couple who lived within their means and paid cash for everything and in the end were better off than their credit card addicted neighbors? |
