If you are born into stupid you grow stupid. Then you can't rationally make sense why blue states rule.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Re: Why are red states the shittiest places to live?
Define red/blue. If we're talking strictly about the pres election, my state is deceptive.

Regarding Obungle, it's 100% red, with every county in the state going anti-oblamo. Voter registration would show blue, though with a much higher number of Dems than Repubs.

Doesn't look to me like what you're basing an opinion on is very stable.

And the shittiest, most impoverished, crime-ridden, corrupt, smelliest sections of the most liberal cities in the the US also are super blue, full of the biggest, dumbest libtards who keep voting for the biggest, dumbest libtard politicians. The same thing applies to some of the crappiest, shittiest countries out there, particularly the dumps of Central and South America and Africa.

My city is ranked as the fifth most educated city in the country for cities under 100,000 people, based on the percentage of adults holding higher education degrees. My little city has been attracting tech companies like Acxiom and HP, who are moving their operations from California. My little city is in a red State. Manufacturing and tech companies have been moving to red States for a decade. Perhaps that is why my State has a balanced budget while the blue ones are billions in debt.

Thanks. Man, tell you the truth. Most of my good friends are republican but they don't realize they really aren't. They are good people who were just raised that way and don't want to change it up.

I am NOT a huge fan of the demos either. I'm not even a demo. Liked Ron Paul a lot and I know that is somewhat antithetical to what I am saying but not really. I think if you look at the core of what we all believe - it is essentially that same. I just think the blue states do a better job of empowering people.

Just not a fan of hyperbole which in most cases is pro-corporate agenda. Blah blah lawsuits. Blah blah benefits. Blah blah healthcare.

Notice how all the stuff the conservatives despise is actually stuff that would help the common person.

WAKE UP RED STATES! YOU ARE BEING ENSLAVED AND ARE LOVING IT!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8625642

So you prefer government in place of business?

What is your solution?

An of course states don't print money. Blue states like CA, NY, etc. just borrow the money to Fed prints and loans to the U.S. gov.

At close to 1 trillion in debt how long do you think CA can continue to kick the can down the road?

Blue states companies have accounted for 83% of all layoffs over the past 4 years. Why isn't Keynesian economics working in blue states?

Why are blue stated the most eager to empower the federal gov. at the expense of state powers and peoples rights?

In your original statement you give weight as being a factor of success. Is that really a measure of fiscal correctness? Where did you those weight figures? Got a link broken down by state/race/income level?

Re: Why are red states the shittiest places to live?
I just don't understand the reasoning OP. Aren't you comparing apples and oranges? How can you compare States with billions of red ink to States with balanced budgets or near balanced? Isn't the standard of living bound to be better in a place that essentially subsidizes everything?

I'd like to mention that these long standing economic power houses that the dems have been running (Cali, Detroit, Chicago) aren't in very good shape fiscally. How can this continue? Isn't it just like the couple that finances their lifestyle with credit cards? Won't it go bust? Doesn't having very liberal welfare programs just attract more welfare cases? Isn't that bad for the already bad fiscal situation? These liberal strongholds have a positive feedback loop going that is not good.

On the other hand the red States have been left in the dust. Low education, low median income (somewhat offset by low cost of living), etc. However, these States are much healthier fiscally and have nowhere to go but up. Isn't this just like the couple who lived within their means and paid cash for everything and in the end were better off than their credit card addicted neighbors?
