Few tweeks. I'm not exceptional by all means, only just started and I usually only use it for bulk processing of 1000s of pictures for timelapse

Done on CS6

Thank you! What is CS6? I'd like to get right into photography when I get my new DSLR & noticed that most good photo's now are photo shopped to some degree.

wow, they don't look like photographs at all to me. I don't know why but I have always thought of photoshop as cheating. I've always had it in my head that a good photographer takes good pictures-not makes good pictures :)

the photo-retuching is only a tinny part of graphics :D
and yes i call it also cheating
very good photographer makes a perfect shot without the need of later processing

Photoshop is one hell of a tool, it will take years to master it.
However, try the (free?) CS2 for starters :

"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

That's correct, although some competitions require unedited photos so you still need to be able to use your manual mode and lenses. I like the zoom out as you snap shots. Try it

DSLR are amazing. I'm really into timelapse at the moment and just learning the basics but it takes hours just for 18 seconds of video. Yet to capture a full day to night transition as it gets too cold but I've done sunset and a few night hours.

I'm planning on going to Brisbane in the near future to do a weekend DSLR course. I still deciding what camera to get (insurance claim) between a Canon & Nikon. I will try the zoom out when I get it (exciting getting a new camera!!) Don't know if I'd have the patience for timelapse!
