Imagine if on Monday, one of the other 5 economies who received bailout money enacted similar draconian measures, it would be turn into a frenzy over here. Folk would all go to the banks in fear, and the average worker would just say fuck it very quickly and in no short order the economy would grind to a halt. I kind of suspect that the main players are either trying to stuff that genie back into the bottle or pandora back into her box, or are busy packing their bags and half way into their escape strategy. Monday may well turn out to be not just black Monday, but the Monday apocalypse run. We'll be waiting to see what develops. Fingers, toes, legs and nuts crossed.
