Whether they confiscate the money on Monday or not, people now KNOW what's in the cards! There will be bank runs whether the money is stolen by the EU or not. And believe me, there will be bank runs on THE REST of the money to keep them from doing the same again and again. Anyone living in the OTHER southern European countries would be advised to do likewise. They sure as hell aren't keeping money in the banks because the "interest rate" is so high! Now its safety is directly questioned, there's no reason AT ALL to keep it there! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28649819 Buy a safe! Or a gun!! And preps. We're all gonna need 'em before this is over. yep, the cat is now on a ladder and a fucking long way above the proverbial bag right now, infact, I suspect the feline is halfway to Beijing. Agree with you on the prep thing. owning a gun over here, well forget that. But a safe??? nah. Just going to buy a cellar full of nice red and the like. |

I am just wondering, if you were in their shoes, where could you send your money so the banks couldn't take it from you? The whole global banking system is on life support. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 28649819 United States 03/17/2013 07:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | UN & Euro will disband anyway. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1764289 Don't worry, just don't bank in Eurotrash banks. I hope there's enough isolation to prevent a domino effect. Most Americans, I'm sorry to say, are more concerned with the mundane aspects of their own personal lives to take much notice of anything else. The upshot being it might not cause 'mainstream America' to withdraw their cash. This isn't good though.... We'll just have to see where it leads. As for me? Yeah, I'm getting some green in my hands. Tomorrow. I'm in the US and planning my own "gradual" bank run starting Monday. If I were in northern Europe I'd be thinking about doing the same. Southern Europe should grab their money as fast as they can get their hands on it, while they still can, and park it someplace "safer," whether that be Switzerland or under the mattress! |

The insurance is a joke because they can do just as they did in Cyprus and declare it a deposit TAX. Nothing illegal there. I don't have any cash in the bank. Prepared years ago. Bring it on. |
