When the Post Office, and other local, govt. offices were receiving bomb packages, right after i went on Social Security (for which i, and my husband (both of them) paid into all our lives of paychecks),they tried to get me to work in the mailroom in the local office of Social Security.

Twice, over the years, while driving into that strip mall to shop, i saw an ambulance parked at the mailroom entrance which was at the side of the building, and, each time, thought: "That couldhave been me".
