Then he would be an idiot. "Helping the poor" is like feeding stray cats... I know it sounds mean but if you help the poor, all they do is reproduce and you now have 3-4 mouths to feed instead of 2. Then what?

The Vatican is also a state. It needs funds to function.

Seriously I wish non catholics would just mind their own business with all due respect.

The Catholic Church does a lot for the poor via anonymous people and relatively unknown organizations you probably will never hear of.

And God will protect the Pope. You really give too much importance to wordly things. Gods will is ultimately always done.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36311382

^^^This^^^^

How the hell do you so naively think the Pope has the power to do this? Is he supposed to steal all the "money" first or what?

The treasures of the Vatican were mostly donated with strings attached such as the Church is to guard them until the end of time in the case of much of the artwork.

Grow the fuck up!

Catholic Charities do more worldwide than any other organization in the world.

Now if only the protestants did half as much!
One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one.

When I read malachy's prophecy, I don't find peter the roman as being bad.

He shepherds his people through the tribulation.

So basically, just leads them through tough times.

I think the last pope is a good pope as opposed to evil and satanic.

I think all the evil and satanic stuff probably occured in the last 30-50 years as there is another vision that a pope had about satan infiltrating the church over 100 years.

Anyhow that's my two cents on it.

Then no doubt he will be assassinated.

Pulling the "poor" out of poverty is not good for the "business of life", socially, spiritually or economically for those behind the curtain.

title says it already;

what if the new pope is a "good guy", not only pretending to like the poor lifestyle but being honest on that;
and wants to spend all the money and wealth the church has (including the vatican bank) to really make a difference and help the poor ?

"And those words came to me: The poor. The poor. Then right away, thinking of the poor, I thought of Francis of Assisi. Then I thought of all the wars as the votes were being counted, until the end. Francis is also the man of peace. That is how the name came into my heart: Francis of Assisi."

Pope Francis

Then I thought of all the wars as the votes were being counted, until the end.

there ya go OP, theres no such thing as peace in this generation. Catholic church owns the biggest porn industry in Germany, Paid millions to cover up their dirty works, and i guess they didnt think poors at that time.

If pope Francis do anything like helping poors, firstly he will be killed , secondly they will replace him with someone who they think will do what they are being told.

well its still impossible after all Pope francis is from Jesuit, popes have suppressed them for good reasons and their generals hold more power than a bishiop over clergy.

No matter how "poor" you are, you can always walk away. You can always plant some food somewhere. You can always TRY! But those who simply give up have a poor mind and the earth doesn't need them and neither does humanity.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32641742

Yes, you can always plant some food, if you have some seeds, good fertile soil, and a few months to wait.
That only cures the hunger.

You would be feed in about three months, but as money goes you would still be poor.

"One of the things he said he would have done is to eradicate the corruption from the 'guilded palaces' of the Vatican. He also said that the Vatican Bank needs to be cleaned up and made transparent immediately, and that 'everyone knew' who the corrupt cardinals were in the Vatican," Newman said.

Short answer:

It's not possible to be a Pope and a good guy at the same time.
Weirdness isn't weird, here.
So... no need to go "O_o"... but I can't help going O_o the most of the time!

Two words:

Opus Dei

New group title "Communion and Liberation", which is a very right-wing group in Italy. It's been compared to Opus Dei in every way..

The poor would just piss away the money and be poor again a week later. It's why they're poor in the first place.

Being "poor" has nothing to do with money. Being poor means you can't get off your ass and do something for yourself. There's no excuse except for the children born to poor minded eaters.

No matter how "poor" you are, you can always walk away. You can always plant some food somewhere. You can always TRY! But those who simply give up have a poor mind and the earth doesn't need them and neither does humanity.

Wow! There is no point in even wasting words with someone of this mindset.

No, if you are poor, you can't just walk away.

The Cardinals asked that question, once, a couple centuries ago. That's when they established a Vatican Bank over which the Pope had no direct authority.

i am absolutely no bibletard, don´t like relgious stuff at all, not naive and dreaming of unicorns and well aware that he is a jesuit.

but maybe, just maybe, there is a slight chance he´s "the good guy" (of course, as long as someone who is a church´s man can be any good) and wants to make a change.

This pope is a puppet which the real forces behind all religion is using to create sympathy. I think he will announce disclosure and will present to us a group of ET's (the real god entities) which will bring us a better world, also known as NWO. They will use their technologies and it will also be about spirituality, all one religion. Look at how he is preparing allready.. getting among the people, shaking hands, kissing, being a charming pope, bringing charm, love, spirituality.. a (what will seem like) an improved and better vatican.

Wouldn't you be happy if we put poor people in debtors prison like they used to? Of course, it would take some money to keep them in there. Would you like to just charge them for a bullet and shoot them instead?

Obviously, if they're not out there working the land they're useless. How many slaves do you have working your plantation?

That would be awesome. I hope he spends it on zero maintenance things so that the poor can really use it. Like zero maintenance water pumps for water wells and solar panels for energy and lighting, Non GMO heirloom seeds for planting etc,.

Re: what if .. Pope Francis I. is a good guy and wants to spend all church/vatican money to help the poor?
That's a contradiction in itself. The church is an institution in itself, it serves as a leg to the matrix. Pope John Paul II came out before dying saying that there was no hell, and obviously the popes aren't expecting to be punished "eternally" for the crimes they've committed against humanity, religion is a sham. The church serves as a disconnect between you and spirituality.

Don't know why you single out just this pope.

I do from time to time donate to charitable organizations and I was really impressed by the statistics on one such charity run by the Catholic Church - Catholic Relief Services.

[link to www.bbb.org]

Programs: 95% Fund Raising: 3% Administrative: 2%

In order to meet the standards an organization has to spend at least 65% of its total expenses on program activities (95% for this particular organization) and spend no more than 35% of related contributions on fund raising (3% for this particular organization).

I think you'd be hard pressed to find another charitable organization that spends as high a percentage of their collected donations on the programs they sponsor, and those programs include projects designed to help communities in countries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America identify long-term solutions to poverty and build self-sufficiency and humanitarian assistance operations in response to natural and man-made disasters, supplying aid in the form of food, medicines, shelter, and other relief supplies.

So I'd say the Catholic Church has gone above and beyond many other organizations in their efforts to alleviate the suffering that people in this world have to endure.

It doesn't sound to me like they're trying to prey on people in an attempt to get rich like some other 'fake' charitable organizations out there. Sounds to me like they're not only talking the talk but also walking the walk as would be expected of an organization representing God and His Christ here on this earth. But then again, Satan will do whatever he can to discredit those doing God's will.
